I had my "fake" parent-teacher conferences today, and it went really well. Still, I'd prefer the actual situation to be happening, rather than having it be role played, where I really don't know the student.

It was the manipulative parent that I met with, which is the hardest one to deal with in most situations. They are the parent that doesn't let their kid be...

Wow, now I've been in a car accident

I was hit by a car when I was on my bike when I was younger, but until today I'd never been in a car that hit or was hit by another car.

That all changed when my friend and I were going to lunch.

We were pulling up at an intersection, and the car in front...

No, I didn't see that game, but my boyfriend works as the bar manager at the Radisson on campus and he said he got killed before and after the game (a block from Mariucci), and from what he saw on TV, that it was just a blowout, not even a game. smile
And yes, you should have gone to school here. Once a Gopher, always a Gopher. biggrin
cecelia:
Yeah right, WI lost to them yesterday...I'm not counting on a Gopher win, unfortunately. Music City Bowl, maybe?

To stay in Bloomington, or to go "home" this weekend. That new home being Columbus, Ohio.

I haven't even seen my new house yet.

Part of me really wants me to go and see my Mom, since she's been pretty lonely lately after living in hotels for 7 weeks due to work, and the other part of me says I want to stay here this...

I am definitely going to the game. So watch for me on ESPN smile I know they don't NEED the win, per se, but I'd love to have them go to a big bowl game. No Rose Bowl, but whatever. smile

This (edited) quote from the movie "The Football Factory" accurately sums up a lot of my feelings right now:

"Are you gonna sit in some poxy office with a cunt for a boss telling you what to do as you count your pennies trying to make ends meet in a country that's sinking into strikes and wars and at the end of the day you...

Boxing is finally really beginning to start. I attended our officers meeting with the IU Club association last Tuesday.

I have to personally get going on trying to get some Indiana Boxing merchandise printed, if anyone has any interest in a shirt or something, let me know and Ill see if I can send some out.

Training should start within a week or two, something...

The Iron Circle: Anger and Demons

Why is it every time I go to watch one of my various teams play a sport, the game on TV before it always goes into overtime so I miss half of my game?

I could provide several examples of this because it happens quite frequently. Today, it was the Minnesota vs. UMD hockey game.

Anyways, I've done absolutely...

I didn't see the game! We're trying to cut costs at my house so we gave up cable for a while and it was on ESPN2. frown Bummer. And we were shopping for a while, but we caught some of it on the radio in the car and caught the end of it on Yahoo Sports when we got home. I read through the plays and such and it looks like it was a really good game. I'm pumped about seeing the game vs. Michigan State at the dome next weekend...gotta love student vouchers. smile SKI U MAH! smile

Boxing is definitely getting going, and I was elected an officer of the club tonight. We'll start training within the next week after I attend an officer training and safety session on Tuesday.

Long weekend ahead with a lot of driving, eight hours it looks like. At least the weekend is full of enjoyable things, not shite schoolwork.

First off, tomorrow morning its off to...

College hockey is truly a great thing to behold, and to all of you that haven't seen it, give it a shot.

I watched the Gophers take on Minnesota State today and there were 3 goals scored in a 30 second span.

I've never seen such play and enthusiasm before and I'm glad I finally get to see Minnesota before the Frozen Four, thank you...

I am currently embroiled in midterm week and doing my best to not study at all.

I watched Russian Ark last night (off of AnnaLee's recommendation), which ended up to be quite a good movie, although its definitely not for everyone.

Here's my two cents on Russian Ark:

How you can do an entire movie....with thousands of actors, three live orchestras and without messing...

What an awful sports weekend for me. Blowout losses or close heartbreaking defeats, seems to be typical of the teams I support.

At least Celtic drew Hearts, otherwise I'd chalk this up to one of my worst weeks ever.

The positive news about today is that I got to meet one of my college friend's Mother, who actually knew my Dad when he was working...
