New name- new status- new tattoo.
As the rack rocker previously known as "Smut", I decided to change my name. Oddly, the name "Smut" when Googled brings up an enormous amount of filth (that I didn't produce myself). So, with my toolbox as inspiration, I've chosen "Stanleigh". If I confused you, I apologize, but must warn you- it will not be the last time I...

I am reminded of the following:

Bart Simpson: Stan Lee came back?
Comic Book Guy: Stan Lee never left. And I'm starting to think that his mind is no longer in mint condition.

Congrats on the Hopeful and tat. Stan the woMan!

Nice! I got my SG tattoo for exactly the same reason biggrin

I am proud of my "Hopeful" status and use it encourage other older ladies. When I tell strangers that my application to SG was accepted at 50 and my set at 51 ... they are at first ... taken aback ... then they are happy and full of questions and or comments.

Eight years ago, I sent in photos only to have a quick "no thank you" email appear in my inbox.

As the perpetual chubby girl I was not surprised, and set aside the idea of ever becoming an SG.

When I turned 30 I decided to give it another chance. I've seen beautiful, thick SG's and figured that I had nothing to lose (other than...

I, for one, like what I see! With the right photographer, I see it happening! Keep it up, and keep your chin up!

What you've got a great face, a great body and a great flair for words, so as far as this insignificant fly on the SG wall is concerned, you should not be a hopeful, because you should already be front page.

Nothing wrong with a hot chubby old woman, I say! (man, I DO know how to phrase a compliment....)

A Prom to Remember
Id like to share with you one of the many events in my life that will always keep me humble. There is no way to possess conceit once youve taken your brother to prom.

After dating throughout high school, my boyfriend decided that we needed to see other people during senior year. He made this decision a month before Junior/ Senior...

Great story, thanks for sharing it. Life is never quite as easy as we'd like and more often than not we need to improvise. smile

So, today I tried to do my photoset for Hopeful review. I don't have access to a photographer in my area and my student loans keep me from hiring one.
This leaves me one option: my husband.
The man can paint an aircraft or a hot rod without flaw; yet, when it comes to photography he may as well be Ray Charles.
After waiting for...

Who knows, there may be a market for naked mechanic corpses. Maybe your husband should paint your set instead of photographic it (and wouldn't THAT be a cool change of pace).

Ray Charles was a very good photographer. At least that's what his roadies kept telling all those naked fans.

I love it~ a good laugh in the the morning is better than coffee! But, it still runs a close second to meth.

Southern Evolution
Many relatives would disown me for using the term evolution, thats blasphemy. Thankfully, those relatives have not mastered the inter-tubes and will never see this web blog.

I live in a place that time forgot; or chances are time chose to sneak away from. I still live in the world where women wake up early and cook breakfast for their families, and serve...

I'm working on an actual photoset this weekend. There are no photographers in my area so I'm DIY-ing it. Thank you for enduring the "Myspace face" in the meantime.

Even though we live in the same country, the culture you describe seems more foreign to me then my Ecuadorian relatives(by marriage). It still completely amazes, and at time troubles, me just how varied and/or isolated America can be. I think Neil Gaiman had it right when he said america is more then one country.
