I had my first trip to Koreatown tonight for delicious Korean BBQ. I'd driven through there before but never properly visited. This will no longer be the case. The food was amazing, and I feel like I have a food baby, and I can't wait to go back. Nomnomnom!

I'll just leave this here.

Hope you find the wonder and delight in the world around you. Think how much happier we'd all be if we could find some of what this little girl has in seeing something as simple as rain.

LOVE!

Today I lost a love. It was entirely his fault and his choice, and me choosing to protect myself and do the right thing and walk away. The universe is strange though, and loving, and has been giving me funny little gifts and reminders of how it will all be okay. Like, an hour after I got home from things ending, a guy who had...

Life has continued to gobble me up. I am currently working on editing some poems for a friend who is trying to enter some poetry contests in the next few days, then working on 3 new scenes for school, a monologue and Irish dialect for another class, a dance, a stage combat choreography, and a song for my advanced vocal production class.

On top of...

I hope that the new place works out great for you.  Your schedule sounds fun, but intense.  Are you working with a lot of other people on the projects, and are they matching your level of effort?

FUN WITH WORDS!

12 Old Words That Survived by Getting Fossilized in Idioms.

This made the nerd in me very happy. Also, the dork in me now wants to start using "wend" in place of "go" again, and "gaed" instead of "went". I figure the original choice to use go more than wend and to stop using the past tense of go and instead stick...

interesting stuff, although i'd say with 'fro' its only northern english/scottish in the sense of being left over by the viking. words like the swedish for 'from' which is 'frn' (pronounced - almost - 'froan') - i discovered living in sweden that loads of words, often really colloquial scots terms were seemingly derived from swedish, which was a bit of an eye-opener. . .

My wonderful friend who is a poet has been editing and working on a book of her works. Today she shared the title page with me, proud that she had finally named it. It's intellectual, but hilarious and witty. Very much like her:

Of
The Absurd

Go on: wrinkle your nose- a nose so huge that Atlas would not carry it...

So, I'm a lazy ass and still haven't downloaded my pictures to my computer from the past epic week of birthday celebrating. It will happen.

For now? I am trying to not flip out because I'm totally emotional and overwhelmed. Almost everyone from school is leaving for the summer, and we still don't know who's invited back and who's not, and my s.o. and sister...

My heart is aching today with the news of what has happened in Boston. My prayers and blessings are with all those who were there and who have loved ones who were there. I can't even imagine. There are some glimmers of light in all the dark, though. The incredible number of people running to help in the aftermath of the chaos, and the outpouring...

That was very well said indeed. I am slightly afraid now for the Marine Corps Marathon, especially since the Marines then to be a target, but fuck if I am going to let them stop me.
desdmonia:
Thanks! I can't wait. It is a healthy was to fulfill my masochism tongue It is also just in my genes, my whole family is super active. My brother is a bike mechanic, sister and dad both have completed the marathon. I mainly decided to do it because my sister's husband was going to be doing it with her, but he had to deploy. So I get to get in super good shape, be proud of myself, and be there for my sister when her other half is gone. Plus running is like meditation to me.

I actually called out of work today. Too much going on in my head. I hope you have a wonderful day today smile
