You must be talking about an anery corn snake. Super cute! Babies aren't really harder to raise than adults. All of my snakes, save the rescues, were raised from babies. I have only lost one baby over the years. It was a blood python and it died in January of this year from a heart defect at 6 months of age (I had had it since birth). The only thing you really need to worry about its wether or not it has parasites and is eating. You said that it was already eating dead mice, so I would just get a fecal sample and take it to a vet and have them look at it. They can tell you immediately if it has parasites, they give you a small (very small!) amount of antibiotics, and the problem is solved. In the states, to get a fecal sample looked at by a vet, it's about $35, but you'll have to check around in your area. Antibiotics aren't that expensive either. However, captive bred babies usually don't have parasites unless they've been housed with wild caught or some such animals. You probably don't have anything to worry about.
For housing, it's just like an adult corn snakes, except you need to start off with a very small enclosure and for hide boxes, use small candy boxes. Do they have NERDs where you live? Or like a matchbox, maybe. Something not much bigger than the snake itself, so that it has something very secure and closed in to hide in. I'm actually in the process of adopting out a few of my rescued ball pythons. I've needed to do it for a while now, but was trying to put it off. I get way to attached to my animals! I have two that are going out by Tuesday.
Ball pythons are great snakes, but they can be a major pain in the ass. There are a ton of boas and pythons that stay small and are more enticing than ball pythons. Children's pythons, spotted pythons, hog island boas, male colombian red tail boas, brazilian rainbow boas, rosy boas, kenyan sand boas, irian jaya and jungle carpet pythons, etc. I could go on forever. I love rosy boas and spotted pythons. They are neat.

My problem is that i can't even draw or paint with sufficient skill to get the images in head down in any tangable form. There is nothing more frustrating then having a head full of ideas and no way of getting them out.

I wrote a short story once about a kid who everyone picks on.. he gets on the schoolbus and one of the kids knocks his head off onto the seat next to him and sticks a tapeball (the duct tape they use to repair the bus seats) down his neck.
He can't find the head so he continues on with his day, going to classes, but unable to speak - just makes gurgling sounds with the hole in his neck. I wonder if the monsters could relate to him better. It wouldn't be quite as cute, tho.
