There is nothing that makes me feel like more of a douchebag than watering my goddamn lawn. It's grass and weeds. But my landlord asks me to do it, and even though he won't let me have a dog - my rent is hella cheap and I don't wanna fuck that up.

C'est la vie.

It's not so much a worry as it is a desire to avoid feelings of guilt. Mind you, if I'm dead...
bill_the_cat:
You can't have a dog, but can you have a vegetable garden? That would be a far better use for all that water. Definitely less douche-baggy.

I am currently getting *just enough* work done to not feel bad. Which, ironically, still makes me feel sort of bad. Current project: putting off digitizing an old map (hey old fucker who will not share his data: fuck you too) and putting off edits for an article I'd like to resubmit. The latter actually isn't totally accurate. I redid some data, and I have...

Sometimes, I don't eat enough dinner. And I have this feeling where I'm not sure if I'm hungry or if I don't feel well.
tallboy___66:
Hmmm, I wake up hungry sometimes but I also ride my bike EVERYWHERE.

It would be strange to go back to some point in life such as college when you're older but in this economy a job is a job, and you're 2+ hours from Chicago.

He's got smahtz.

Oh man: Tomorrow, we are taking the wife to her apartment just up the interstate. I get to drive a U-Haul truck.

Let's hope I don't take anything out....
tallboy___66:
Well they need more people in Bloomington to fill up those empty loft buildings and Normal is becoming entirely too upscale.
toothpickmoe:
Funny, you put a pile of tits and ass in front of me and I'm liable to dive right in.

Remember, you're bigger than most cars, but smaller than a semi.

My Macbook has died. Long live my (incoming) Macbook Pro. I'm really not happy about this. I'm trying to save not spend. This leaves me browsing porn and writing blogs on my phone. Ugh.

My parents live down that way and I went to grade school for a few years as well.

Aww man, I just kept trying to fight it back..I got so choked up.

Guess what I didn't want to do today? If you answered "sit around and wait for a phone call that doesn't seem to be coming" - then you win! Congrats!

Fun times!
tallboy___66:
We have car phones now you can leave the house.

Re: your last post . . . I just went through a major paper writing phase, so I'm facing a lot of rejection now too. Why are reviewers so utterly clueless? wink

Simple truths call for simple responses. wink

Dear SG,

Obligatory "I am not dead, just living life" post.

Dear Neighbor,

I like you, but you are being kind of a douche right now. I will acquiesce to your (albeit) polite request. But I'm starting a list in my head...

Dear Weather,

Thank you for finally being less ass.

Dear Reviewers of my Article,

Some of your comments suck, but thanks for the...

Good to hear the Old Man ain't claimed you. wink

For some reason, I am mildly obsessed with Omegle and Chat Routlette. Obviously, hanging out on them rarely goes anywhere - it's mostly teenagers looking to hurl racial slurs and middle fingers as well as cocks (literally) looking for chicks to masturbate with. I'm just sort of fascinated by the social nature of it. First, I really like the idea. It's a bit like...

Check out my blog for reviews of the Voodoo Museum and ghost tour. There are other ghost tours but the one I took seemed to get the best reviews. Sadly, I didn't get to the Pharmacy Museum. It's closed Sun & Mon, and those were the days I could have gone. frown
akirali:
Nothing really. Just getting used to the place again. How've you been?

The end of the year is sucking the life out of me. I'm just ready to be doooooooooooone.

Oh yeah, you should definitely go to New Orleans! There are multiple ghost tours, and I'm sure you could find a haunted place to stay ( wink ). I'll let you know what the Pharmacy Museum is like.
toothpickmoe:
Thanks!

And yes to both of those. I was just lamenting how long it's been since I've seen a good game of Plinko.

My wife has had two pairs of black panties go "missing" from her apartment building. She thinks it's just chance - she misses grabbing them out of the dryer etc. I think it's weird that they're both black, and she's never lost any other garments that she's aware of. My money is on a panty snatcher. But I'm paranoid/pervy like that.

Oh, the conference was...

Yeah, I think for th statisticians, "p" is pretty pass. They're way beyond that, but it's funny how different techniques, expectations, and arbitrary values obtain importance in diverse fields.
tallboy___66:
They had a special but if you don't qualify then you just put up a deposit then the first month and move in, it was too small anyway but I was cutting it close on finding a place.

Life is kinda kooky and busy right now. Working on an article or two, teaching a lot, generally ready for my wife to get her ass out here.

Also: next week I'll be in San Francisco! Yea! Sushi, density and weird shit! I do have to present a paper at a conference ... but it's early Thursday, and then I'll be on my own until...

Strong work on getting a paper presentation! And that's awesome it's so early in the conference.
