After being back home for just a few short weeks, I think it might be time to hit the road again. I'm off to New Orleans for a couple days this weekend, should be a fun trip. And I just got a very interesting job offer yesterday which might take down to the Caribbean for a stretch. I've always wanted to live on the water,...

Finally back on the ranch! After a horrible winter it's good to be home. Well, my home away from home, anyway. I did head back to the South for a few weeks, and the drive there a few weeks was one hell of an adventure, but that's a story for another time. For now I just want to say how happy I am to be...

And so another chapter in my life is coming to a close. This winter season has been a wild ride to say the least! I'd never lived anywhere during the winter that got any snow to speak of, so I was in for a few hard lessons here in Wyoming... I've spent a few summers working here and thought I'd owed myself a winter season,...

I'm sorry Wyoming is losing one of its few SG folk. We are pretty thin on the ground here.

Good luck to you in Georgia and wherever you go.

There is a fair bit of wind up here, but I'm living in Jackson Hole, the tourist capitol of the state. There's folks from all over up here, and the tourists will park in the middle of the damn road to take a picture of some deer. The MIDDLE of the road. Jerks.

I grew up in Georgia, so I'm not at all used to this -30 degrees thing y'all have going on up here! I hate that you're going through a rough year, man. I'm young yet, but I've seen enough to know there's almost always greener pastures ahead, just gotta push through the bullshit and find your silver lining over the next hill. (wow, talk about sounding cliched and mixing metaphors, huh?)

As far as my being positive, what else is there to do? Product of my lifestyle I would guess. I move around a lot, work seasonal jobs for the most part. So I know that I'll be gone soon wherever I am. Its only sad when I love where I'm at, not when I'm getting kicked around. Life on the move can be hard, but there are some real advantages.

Another lazy Friday...

Lounging around the house, smoking too many cigarettes, rereading a good book, playing guitar, generally not getting anything terribly productive done.

I realized why my boss has been a little but nicer to me yesterday. He knows now that I'm not going to hang around at my job after my contract is up, even though I've been offered a promotion and raise,...

Happy birthday!
Sounds like good times are ahead. That cabin sounds cool. I would settle for rustic and peaceful over surrounded by buildings and people any day!
I hope you figure out what's next wink
sgiandubh:
Thanks, Tarion! My cabin is cool, just big enough and still very cozy. I love being out away from cities most of the time, but sometimes its nice to get lost in the hustle, too! I'm considering going somewhere new. Maybe Chicago or New York City here in the States, or maybe London, or Morocco, or anywhere overseas. Who knows where I'll end up? wink
