Yesterday, I was interviewing a woman for an Associate Teacher position in one of our Infant rooms. When I asked her what she would do if one child bit another child, she got a puzzled look on her face and asked, "Has that ever happened here?"

I almost laughed out loud.

my adopted home is alexandria, va. i was actually born and raised in beaumont, tx. i lived here in va for three years while stationed at andrews afb. i went to los angeles for a year with the air force and now i'm back in dc. i've left the military and i'm working for a government defense contractor out here.

i think of alexandria, va and, more specifically, old town, as my home because i've never been happier in a place in my life. it's almost bordering on manic how happy this place makes me.

I've been offered and have accepted a promotion to work as the Assistant Director of one of our corporate centers! The Director there called me two weeks ago and asked me to come in to see the center and consider taking the position. I'm still in shock!
