I got to see my family and some good friends of mine who live there. my brain is bubbling as i recollect the events of the past ten days. it one of the...

America is in denial. It's so hard for the average american to accept that we were misled into an unjust war and that our people and innocent Iraqis are dying for no reason. It's so hard to accept that this president is only truly representing the interests of corporations and a small minority of rabid religious conservatives.

It seems as if Kerry's only flaw was...

it's pouring rain outside, the deluge of water crashing against the house is creating the most beautiful ambience. i love the sound of water, it calms me in a way nothing else can. i wonder if this is because i am a fire sign? when i was young, i grew up near the Atlantic Ocean. i remember sitting on the beach at night and just...

excerpt from "The Great Wagon" by Rumi:

Today, like every other day, we wake up empty
and frightened. Don't open the door to the study
and begin reading. Take down a musical instrument.

Let the beauty we love be what we do.
There are hundreds of ways to kneel and touch the ground.

Out beyond ideas of wrongdoing and rightdoing,
there is a field....

No I don't. Do you have friends there or something?

There are more then hundreds of ways to kneel and touch the ground. I love that.

Is Chris Carter on Thursday or Wednesday? I thought it was Wed... today... confused. Don't want to go on the wrong day.

either way, I'll keep my eyes out for ya.

do you think that the rise of digital technology will create a more homogoneous society? in the way that Corporate America has mostly succeeded in creating a uniform suburban landscape, i.e., every suburb has a Walmart, McD's, etc. so that each suburb is largely undifferentiated from any other, will digital technology create a more homogeneous society both on a social level -- with the same...

a nice foggy overcast fall day. it's nice when the sun isn't out sometimes, makes me feel like staying inside with a good book and do some laundry . . . god knows there's enough of it.

so the Love Parade came and went . . . and i would have to agree with Naiad's comments. there's something to be said for putting more...

I want to bring you up to Portland for a party.
brokenhouse:
hello...

did you pick up a while back the stereo 8 remix of orbitals a perfect sunrise with lisa gerrad? fuckin' quality! if you didn't, i highly recommend you pick one up on ebay.

don't suppose you know an english girl over in sf called polly? my cousin moved over there about 4-5 years ago. she married some guy over there who's name escapes me, but she's into the underground dance and fetish scenes.

it's a long shot i know, but it does amaze me how small this world is sometimes.

if you send me some details, i'll send you my mix cd.

take care
see ya wink

finally back online . . . what a pain in the ass. i'm having lots of technology issues going on right now --- my turntables came back from Burning Man and now the tone arms are acting like gravity has shifted about 90 degrees.

the Love Parade is coming up this weekend. if you're in town i'm going to be spinning at this party on...

w00t! I want to come to that party! Maybe I'll drag S5 and Olivia along since I'm staying w/ them.

So what are the chances of me getting on the cool people list to get into that shindig?
noelani:
I might make it down tonight.

Do you know of any parties on Saturday night that are going to be playing techno, breaks, or micro?

so i was downloading some programs the other day and my computer locked up mad fortunately, i have a good friend who spent the time trying to recover everything, but eventually just had to reinstall windows. i'm glad all my data is on a separate hard drive . . . that would have sucked losing all my files.

so today i'm trying to get everything up...

speaking of downloading--can you reccomend any artists or dj's or whatever to download--I guess like the House kinda stuff you spin. Lately I've been wanting to listen to more stuff like that and I don't really know what to get.
