I have yet to deal "properly" with the death of a very dear friend of mine - from high school - back in 2000. Of course this brings it all back. Of course it gets to us. Is there a way to say goodbye though? Farewell? I don't know. If I knew what to say to the first boy I ever kissed then maybe I could figure out how to deal with this?

I was overjoyed about snow til I woke up expecting the resturant to be closed and it wasn't. I almost killed myself trying to drive to work through that crap!! Got there and realized a LARGE percentage of the staff had called out. I was one of VERY few suckers who got stuck there. frown frown frown

Sounds very familiar. I'm so tired most days that caffeine doesn't even help perk me up. Maybe its the weather. Maybe its more.

The insurance thing is too familiar, as well. My ex called a couple weeks ago and told me that she is taking a leave of absence from work. Apparently she (and the kids) aren't even eligible for COBRA under the type of leave she is taking. Better yet, we have a state program in Michigan for uninsured kids. But, since she has given up their coverage voluntarily, we aren't eligible. I don't understand the thinking, but it is consistent with her behavior to date.

Keep you chin up. It makes it easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
