I have yet to deal "properly" with the death of a very dear friend of mine - from high school - back in 2000. Of course this brings it all back. Of course it gets to us. Is there a way to say goodbye though? Farewell? I don't know. If I knew what to say to the first boy I ever kissed then maybe I could figure out how to deal with this?

I was overjoyed about snow til I woke up expecting the resturant to be closed and it wasn't. I almost killed myself trying to drive to work through that crap!! Got there and realized a LARGE percentage of the staff had called out. I was one of VERY few suckers who got stuck there.
I would've given my left tit to stay home all warm under my covers watching movies on Sunday.

The insurance thing is too familiar, as well. My ex called a couple weeks ago and told me that she is taking a leave of absence from work. Apparently she (and the kids) aren't even eligible for COBRA under the type of leave she is taking. Better yet, we have a state program in Michigan for uninsured kids. But, since she has given up their coverage voluntarily, we aren't eligible. I don't understand the thinking, but it is consistent with her behavior to date.
Keep you chin up. It makes it easier to see the light at the end of the tunnel.
