Dick Smith passed away yesterday. I am filled with sadness. He was truly a legend. So many of the techniques that are used in the world of practical effects today, were developed by him. And he dedicated so much of his life to passing his secrets on.
Well, I've decided I'm going to do NaNoWriMo again this year. Despite the fact that I've got plans to be out of state for half the month. Good thing I just had a new laptop arrive!!
Which pretty much means that my plans for the foreseeable future are something like this: Read. Write. Repeat.

Food is always worth talking about. Finding unique dishes and trying to recreate them has got to be a challenge.

in the last year, I've gotten two promotions, continued to fall madly in love with my boyfriend, worked on getting things into publishable spots and actually started sending off to publishers!! Watched Christian become a better sculptor and work on an amazing movie script!!
