Dammit -- it's Thursday again, and another week has whizzed past since my last post.
What happened? Maybe it's a sign of getting older that time seems to go past at dizzying speeds!
Maybe I'm just not paying enough attention -- buried in work and distracted by personal shit.
Very frustrating!!

PS: Gotta get my lardass back on to that mountain bike!!! mad

Ok. Fuckit. Back to living life... enough moping!

Vintage rolling Stones blaring into my headphones... 4th cup of coffee and it's just past 11am here down under on the tip of Africa... is life good? The jury's still out -- but, boy am I wired biggrin

Found this in my sketchbook archive... when you let me lose with a ballpoint pen and too much free time...

Sheesh. This year is a little fucked-up so far.
Hasn't started with a bang -- more like with a series of sickening lurches that have left me somewhat whiplashed and disorientated. Work starting-stopping-starting.... finances all over the feaking place... relationship busy crashing and burning.... I obviously don't drink enough...LOL

I have also come to the very sad conclusion that when you're the nice, supportive guy,...

Creative burnout is not a pretty sight... or at least I dont think it is... but then I'm not exactly a pretty sight at the best of days. The virginal canvases remain virginal... I can't stand the sight of a blank piece of paper and pencils staring at me... the normal urge to fill it with crazy doodles and drawlings just doesn't kick in. The...

Been there, mate. Got the T-shirt. Creative burnout, that is. Maybe you need a bit of a holiday, a weekend getaway at the very least? To recharge your batteries & feed your soul. If you're anything like me, you don't do this nearly as often as you should...

BTW, I do hope that we'll be seeing you & your missus at the Cellardoor party next Saturday night? I reckon it'll be good for you - to let your hair down, listen to some rocking tunes, forget about your woes - at least for a little while wink

C'mon, it's Friday!! Go buy yourself half a dozen cold ones, hire yourself a feel-good DVD (if you haven't seen "Napoleon Dynamite", I can guarantee it'll be JUST what the doctor ordered!), grab a piping hot takeaway, & take the night off biggrin

L8R alligator miao!!

PS. Your pix are not showing up in your blog entry above confused

"artists block" bleagh. i hate the feeling.

"... for most people Nature has been replaced by the culture of congestion: of cities and mass media. We are crammed like battery hens with stimuli, and what seems significant is not the quality or meaning of the messages, but their excess."
Robert Hughes, The Shock Of The New

yep, Bob knows what he's talking about... and if memory serves me right, these words were...

Heyhey! Of course it's cheating... wink If I could draw like you I wouldn't be tracing either... but I can't... wink

I do the traces to get my mind off the conservative graphic design I have to do for corporates without actually exhausting myself in the process.

Anyway, have a groovy day...
