Wow, just signed a lease on my own place for the first time in, wait... ever...

Very strange point in my life to be responsible for nobody but myself...

Really not sure how I feel about all of this...

Music's blaring, wine's flowing, in the kitchen making some Peruvian Chile Lime shrimp and Asiago grits with some homemade Chorizo sausage and a white wine sauce.

Right now I'm happiest when I'm alone in the kitchen creating. I do miss having my cooking partner there by my side but life goes on and we all must eat...

...needs a booty call soon or someone's gonna get a hurtin'.

Wow, so a little bit of snow and ice on the roads and most of Charlotte shuts down for the day. Actually see the sun peeking out for the first time in over a week!

Had a great week, my son came up to visit me for Christmas. Took him to the site where they filmed District 12 for the Hunger Games today.

I hope everybody had a great holiday and have a happy new year, this is going to be a great one!

my mum was taken to the er for breathing problems and had a heart attack while there. she is not expected to make it through the night, 1 week after our shared birthday.

this has been a really screwed up 6 months...

This has been one fucked up week, trying to end it off on the back porch with my pipe, a bottle of cheap wine, the rain, thunder, and cool weather...

If God will only test you with what he knows you can handle, I think he might be over-estimating my limits...
