Right then, I've been a busy boy. I've got the MPC, it freakin rules the world. Been doin a lot of fiddling with it, I've got a whole heap of songs to translate over into it as well, which has been taking up a lot of my time. I'm also back at uni, this time studying something I love, sound production. I've learnt so much...

Yo, I haven't updated for a while, I've just been too busy. Valentines bowling on Saturday was fun, it was freakin hot though. Just my luck, I only got one strike and it was right at the end, after we were finished I picked up a ball and rolled it down a vacant lane, strike! whatever

Still no MPC, I rang up the UPS people yesterday...

Woo woo, finally ordered my MPC last night! Everything's coming together nicely. I'm gonna save around $600-$800 on buying it here, even after paying duty, and I'll get it around two months before they come out here. I'm thinking I might get rid of the ugly red side panels and make some wooden ones. It'll void the warrenty but then I think ordering it into...

Glad that you got into that other course... and you've finally escaped the business area... I've been meaning to do that smile

Another real quick one cause I'm super busy and my computer is still being crap.

I finally managed to sort out all the fuck ups in the creative arts department at RMIT and talk to the guy who was supposed to interview me last year about the course I want to do this year. After months of leaving messages and going in and the guy...

torturegarden:
once bitten, twice shy, i guess; we did have fun tho and as mentioned, kiked ass...

you looking doing at the whole kit and kaboodle with the audio or just the music?

i remember playing on a fairlight and it was so fucking much fun; synching the audio to daggy ads, such as the old honda ad when the f1 car turns into the integra....ahhhh, memories...

i dont think that theres anything worse than having an engineer completely fuck your sound, making how they envisage it should be..

i have to come and see you guys play, whens the next gig?

This will be quick cause I'm just about to go to bed.

Hookup on Saturday was awesome fun, but maybe I drank too much, I don't remember. Vice party on Sunday was OK, but too loud to talk and too crowded to do anything else. Also most people there had way big attitudes. It was like going to a gig and everyone thinks they're special...

Yesterday was a great day for the band. We got played on rrr during drivetime, a shop called and said they wanted more cds cause the last lot sold out and we got asked to do a headline show at revolver. For those not from melbourne, rrr is an independent radio station that plays the best music in melbourne and revolver is a medium sized...

Blah blah blah blah blah.

Been working my sweet ass off the last two days, after a five or something day weekend. It doesn't matter how much time off I get one day back and I've having dreams about work when I finally get home and get to sleep.

Wrote a song with my girly for the project we're doing together last weekend, it was...

Sounds like being you doesn't suck mate, being a DJ and going to all these cool gigs, where did I go wrong?
I used to play the drums years ago now they just sit in the garage gathering dust, I do give them a bash every now and then to work out some frustrations but the neighbors tend to get a bit upset for some reason(selfish barstards mad ). I have thought of getting some soft skins but I never seem to get around to it. smile

The last few nights I've been hangin with these kids from sydney who we had a show with on Thursday night. Last night Saw them at the Pony with Crayon Fields and the Night Terrors. They're both great bands to watch and they sound interesting, I'm getting really over the 70's revival thing. Ended up getting quite boozy with one of my old friends and...

there are plenty of alternatives to the "music" peddled by the majors, minor players and other types... the fun is in the digging out. That's why I love the internet!! love I can find out about such bands!

I am not sold on the 70's revival thing.. this is the fucking 6th time its happened since the seventies ended whatever (I wish there was an emoticon which yawned). Can't we have something new for a change? Please?

aw beauty!
I'll make one up for you too... soonish!

Woo-hoo, my phone line's working again! It's been a while. For all those who have been wondering, new years eve was an awesome gig, despite the fact I got a bit drunk and confused and hooked up my sampler wrong and so it didn't work properly. But these things happen in rock and roll. I then got even more drunk and pashed some girl even...

I've fallen off the wagon!!! A friend of mine started up a d&b night - went down to give my support and some serious boozing... I woke up in my undies on the floor, in our spare room ooo aaa My memory is usually pretty good, but I am sometimes at a loss at how I end up in such unusual states... pissy sleepwalking?!?
I had a feeling that your NY was going to be big fun!
The night I played at had the worst sound!!! and none of their renovations were finished. I managed to still have fun!

Did you exchange stickers for phone numbers???
lozzy:
My new years was fucked. I got the worlds worst headache/cold an hour before i had to start getting ready to go out. I finally made myself get ready and when i got to the place (for which i brought a $100 ticket) i was feeling so crappy that i had to leave. Ended up in brunswick having a quiet dinner party with friends.

So this is the night that everyone's been getting excited about for months. I'm just not feeling it. I went and saw the other Enon show last night and they were freakin awesome. There was a great turnout considering it was the night before new years. Tonight is gonna be awesome. And then tomorrow's gonna be even better, no band practice for a while. We've...

Hi Reptar!

I love your taste in film, music and books.
In answer to your question on my page, I'm from Sydney (or rather an hour north of Sydney on the Central Coast, half way between Sydney and Newcastle). Basically beaches and boredom. wink (The area is very quiet but I'm rarely bored myself so its not all bad). smile

I'd be interested to know how your resolution went...

Hope you're having a great 2004. smile

So my phone line died for a few days and I haven't been able to check this, so apologies for my slackness if anyone's noticed. I've got two weeks off now, Hooray! biggrin I'm so glad work's over for the year, the last two nights were fuckin awful. Friday we had the most filthy strippers in for a building company's christmas breakup, then Saturday we had...

Thanks to everyone who posted what they thought I should do about the wink awards and stuff, I'm going to just see what happens. Looks like half the band will be up in Sydney that night anyway. If I can get to the awards I will but I'm not going to if it makes getting to Meredith a hassle.

After having seen Public Enemy on...

Did you end up going to Meredith? My brother did, I am sure he will tell me all about it (at least the bits he can remember) when I see him next. skull
