The job and potential move have been put on hold indefinitely. Perhaps it just wasn't meant to be.

But on other fronts, I may have met someone. After this coming weekend, we'll see if it amounts to anything.

Ouch!! That sucks. I've had an injury or two as a result of gripping and subsequently slipping the tool into my fingers/thumb/hand. Actually, I've had a lot of injuries. Some may call me clumsy.

Yes, I am leaving, but it's really only because I'm poor. Had I the funds to continue on SG, I just might. Perhaps when I get some income flowing I shall return. Dunno yet.

My job is going okay. I haven't worked in almost a week because they only really require me for weekends right now and I haven't started my second job at all. I'm waiting on a phone call. Last Thursday, the last night I worked, was the Western Canadian Music Awards and so we had a bunch of 'Canadian' famous people running around. And I looked like a retard, being super duper hungover from Gogol Bordello. I put Canadian in quotations because people in Canada are famous only to themselves, really. I have no idea who these people are, but they're bigshots, I guess.
At any rate, I made a dull impression on one of the big honchos in the city. Hopefully I don't run into him for awhile and he won't remember me.

So far I'm staying warm. The weather hasn't been too terrible. Last night after Henry Rollins was windy and fuh fuh fuh freezing, but I should've dressed warmer. It's supposed to be 18 degrees C tomorrow, which is crazy awesome, and I'm just hoping we can make it until Hallowe'en before the snow flies. Not that I'm doing anything for Hallowe'en. I don't have a costume, but that's my marker as to when it's okay to snow. Snow in November is understandable. Let's just hope it doesn't last 7 months. Or I might not make through the season.

I hope your fingers are healing well and your laundry continues to be half off. Take er easy.

I used to live in Kansas when I was a kid and I recall the winters there. Pretty pale in comparison to ours. The first winter after we moved back to Canada, I wanted to move away so bad. It was the worst winter in 15 years or something, we had feet and feet and feet of snow and it was cold and I was miserable.
I still haven't gotten over how shitty the winter is here, and every year I ask myself, Why do I frakking live here?!?! as I stumbled over ice and snow to get some juice or something at the store. I hate it. So much!

Hopefully this is my last winter here. If it's not, I might go crazy.

Glad to hear your fingers are doing better. If you are wanting to see my neck of the woods you should do it quickly. The border might be a problem in the years to come. But I can recommend some neat places to check out for sure.

Wish I could've but couldn't find anyone to go with and the car I have now isn't one I'd want to drive long distances in, just not the most reliable and it could use new brakes so I don't want to risk a chance. It's too bad about your situation. I suck at relationships, so I can't even begin to possibly think of any advice, and really, it doesn't sound like you need advice from a silly girl like me. I just wish you the best of luck in finding someone that truly makes you happy.

Yeah, working weekends sucks. It's like, y'know, when I was in high school I looked forward to weekends, but now I dread it since I spend most of it working. 4-12ish shifts aren't that bad; it'd just require some accustomization. Hopefully you'll be happier there than your old job if you decide to take this one. If not, hope you find a more desirable one soon!

If I had to pick one word to describe this weekend's game, it would be 'devastation'. We outscored the competition 26 to 1. All the endurance training and evenings practicing in the heat really paid off. Now we have two weeks til our next match. Beware, Kansas City!

Meh, I'd stop calling. If she wants to stop playing games then she'll start calling you. If not, you're better off for it.

Of course, there could be some logical reason why she's acting that way. Maybe she's super busy. But in that case she should think enough of you to inform you of this, at the very least.

Yeah, I don' t have any insight. I don't understand why people say that shit when they don't mean it. That's what it comes down to. They say that shit cause it's easy to leave and say something inviting, then to not say anything at all... then they're left open to the question "well when will I see you again?" that needs more of an answer. I've gotten those types of lines too.
