Haven't written in a while and I feel in the writing mood.

I began my next grad school class last week Wednesday and I really like it so far. Enjoy the readings and it's my kind of class- lots of writing and reading.

I donated $10 to the red cross via text and that feels good!

I'm glad I never rushed into having a baby....

Still not sure what's up with my husband's son, but they took a biopsy and will know before xmas.

He's still trying to repair his relationship with is son. Wanted to see him today but initially he said no. Then called back later and told him he could come over but alone.

My husband just called me from the road, coming home. Said his son's...

Not used to this situation.

My husband's son (his older son, think he is 28) just called him and told him he was in the hospital and had had some tests done. Didn't tell him what was wrong, just told him he had to come.

They haven't talked since summer of 2008 when my husband left Puerto Rico without attending his parents' 50th wedding anniversary...

My birthday was great! Got to work all day long on my day off, then the hubby came home and had a wonderful necklace for me, with a card, and a beautiful (!!) scarf. Then we went out to dinner the same place we went five years ago for my 21st birthday: Cafe Ba Ba Reeba!, which is an awesome Tapas place. We got one...

No boys for the rest of the weekend. The house is clean, food is bought and in abundance, Most errands are run. It is full relaxation mode, people. Just have to take the laundry to be done (saves so much time to have someone else do it!) work out, and try to get a bike ride in. Life is good.

Managed to get a bunch...

Long time no post!

Things have been low key in the household. Our gerbils got a new condo of a cage and they're loving it. We have two gerbils: Ellsworth and Santa Cruz. Santa Cruz is white with red eyes: a nice typical gerbil. He likes to roam about the cage, chew stuff, eat, drink, sleep, and generally be merry. Here is his happy habitat:...

Stayed up late watching The Dark Knight in HD on the new boob. Bad, bad idea. I'm so tired and today is the last day of the quarter! Bad planning as well, because tonight is Adult Fun Night. The night before the boys arrive, or Friday on a non-boys weekend is Adult Fun Night. It involves fresh warm french bread, chevre broiled in a bed...

OOOOOHH, Sha-BAYUM! Looked on the Illinois Educator Certification System and my transitional bilingual teaching certificate went through! This means I can teach bilingual education at any grade, k-12 in the state of Illinois.

I would never recommend anyone to hire me for this purpose, whatever but I'm the kind of person who just likes to rack up certifications. smile I took the test for Spanish language proficiency,...

Off to another day at the ol' job. This week is a review week, since it's the end of the first quarter. Yaaaay! I can't believe the first quarter is already over. Blowing my mind.

In other news, we buckled and got one of those HDTV thingees. And a blueray player, and a table to put it all on. Thank God for 36 months interest...

It seriously pisses me off . . . . that we have to spend so much on internet, telephones, and cable TV! My "bundle" with taxes, is about $150 per month. And we only subscribe to one of the premium channels - HBO.
I have two HD TVs . . . and I have found that using them with just digital cable, works just fine . . . so I don't pay for an HD box. I'm thinking about canceling the telephone sevice, and just using our cell phones.

Wasn't able to stay dead in class today. My room has no ventilation, so I had to take off the head. I guess headless death has a live human head. Ironic. Best costume ever, I guess. Now having a splendid time with some vodka and redbull, and a moderately tall, decidedly dark, and painfully handsome man I like to call PAPI! Happy Halloween, make it...

I am DEATH today! Loving my costume as it is very death-y looking and I even have a black veil that goes across my face through which you can see NOTHING. I'm already getting a kick out of thinking about teaching classes with no face. I have been PMSing so bad maybe its best I just hide my face.
