I get to go to Idaho this Friday. Three whole days of family fun. I consider myself terribly blessed.

You will be happy you did, you won't always have *family* fanily around.and with the Karma..yes I knew that, and i was a bad kid at times...soo..but when it hits, sometimes it really makes me think it goes back farther than just me. biggrin

Ever get that not so fresh feeling? Behold:

INPUT ----> ROUTINES ----> Zilch

In other news I've not been feeling so well lately. Is there a doctor in the house?

You know something? I'd give the smaller of my two nuts for two weeks vacation right now. Both of them for four weeks vacation and implants. Not 'cause I'm lazy; I like the work. I like doing it, and the busier the work is the better... it just that I really, really want to know what it's like to be well-rested. This whole 60-100 hour...

"Watch out; you might get what you're after."

Ever get the feeling you're a robot?

Input ----> routines ----> output

Where output is equivalent to input with your own small twist on it.

Seriously, does being human and making your own choices mean feeling human?

Or does it simply mean that your choices are not being fed to you?
prana:
Alot of the most interesting debates in modern philosophic
circles revolve around artificial intelligence. This kind of
question is the one that seems unanswerable, since to
give a proper answer one has to quantify "feeling". I find it
interesting from a metaphysical angle that in the debate on
what A.I is exactly, we have to further define the human
condition. In a sense, forcing us to evolve right along with
the machines.
P.S: Thanks for your comment in my journal. I was hoping
that would make sense .

Karma feeds me inputs--->which disrupts my routines---> which sometimes leads to corupted output. biggrin

I finally saw Pirates of the Caribbean. It was very good.

I finally got my DSL back. It is very good.

I wrote a poem today, too. It is very bad.

There's a lot more to everyone than anyone realises.

.............

And before I forget:

Persephone's Plastic Pomegranate
Social Phenomanaughts
Fifteen Minute Rule
Nucular Tactics

Two more I forgot... *snap*

Damn, you got that right dude...

Technically, the one in Portland is called Pioneer Courthouse Square. Yeah, the first time I heard just "Pioneer Square" re Portland, I thought, "Hey! I thought Seattle was the one with the Pioneer Square!" Boy was I wrong. Apparently it serves about the same function as the one in Seattle, though; it's the downtown meeting place for drunks, panhandlers, etc. Ah, life in the big city.... whatever

Moody, moody. I've been wandering around in an inexplicable melancholy all day. Circling Capital Hill, listening to Lovage. Saw the always beautiful SarahJane for an all too brief moment and then proceeded to El Greco where my good friend Skye fed me pizza and Ginger Drops, and a Cucumber Mojito and began to fill me with gladness. Then downtown to see a small bite of...

Yeah so, life is good. Thankyou, life, for being that way sometimes.

So I read my cat the story of the Frogs in the Well and the Skylark, and you know something; I don't think he learned much from it. The moral of this anecdote? No one learns what they're not going to learn. But I learned something from this reading. And that is the...

My new second job rocks. They liked me, I liked them, the whole place seems pretty cool. I'm happy with it and I figure I'll be challenged for a little while at least. Time to commence the contented sighing.

Thursday is my first day at the Garage. That's on Capital Hill, but then again, you knew that. Feeling frisky? Stop by and say hello. Me, I'll be in the kitchen learning how they do things at 6:00PM or so. Will I be shooting the pool or swigging the drinks when the kitchen closes? Most likely. kiss

I start the first of my two new jobs today, right after work. I think. Amelie is playing at the Fremont Outdoor Movies this Saturday, it's been awhile since I've seen that movie so I'm going to go and check it out.

So the guy I was going to bail out says his kitchen manager hired someone but he wants to keep me on the...

I was going to write a bunch of stuff, but then I realised: why? It's not like what I type will be equivalent to what I mean. That rarely happens, so instead I'll sign off with the assessment that I'd rather be dumb and happy than intelligent and bitter.
