If you're passed out on my floor from drinking too much that probably means I was out drinking too much with you. I'd throw a blanket and a pillow at you and pass out in my bed. I hope that when I get up in the middle of the night to puke or piss I remember you are there and not trip over you.

Digging The Bug. My favorite sub-genre of dnb was always ragga. I love dancehall, dub, and ska, so it's easier for me to relate to those styles. Almost anything with a patois vocal and heavy, heavy bass does it for me.

Couldn't get into Snake Eater or Purple City, but did like Digidesign. It was the randomness of the bassline that did it for me. The lead was nice too.

The Widdler was pretty cool. Go Ask Alice was very funky.

I would say in general I have the same issues with dnb as I do with dubstep. I love how creative the productions are. Especially the non repitious melodies

Especially the non repetitious melodies, something I've been trying to accomplish with my recent techno tracks. But there seems to be something sort of cheesey about dubstep. Almost as if the over do each sound. Sampling pop tunes and mainstream culture doesn't do it for me either, another common thread with dnb. Actually, I'm not big into sampling at all. I realize these are opinions and I do overall respect the style for breaking new ground. I just couldn't listen to it all night in a club. I need variety.

I was going to write a blog about how more and more I want to run away from everything, but I think it's really my own fears of what the future is going to bring. I guess if uni doesn't work out I always have another option.

Just got home from ECCT and it was a blast! Made lots of friends. Lots of new stories. Drank Lots. I'm fucking tired as all hell right now and I can't wait to grab a nap.

Sometimes I wonder what I'm doing here in the States. I should be somewhere with warmer weather and a easier lifestyle. Somewhere with a beach and shirts are optional year round. It's going to be fucking cold in Scotland this winter. Uni better be the bee's knees or maybe I'll run away forever.

I'm starting to get a little close to the deadline of getting all my uni stuff ready for the fall. Everything is going to work out fine.

Ran in the street barefoot last night. I have blisters now.

Oh yah. I'm in love with this band Post Harbor. They are post rock and such and almost no one has heard of them. They sing about the Kraken and the lead singer sounds nothing like he looks. It's fucking amazing though.

Well now, I'm back in the surreal world of Boulder again. It's good to be home after sleeping in a tent for the last several weeks. My great Western American road trip was pretty awesome indeed! Some of the highlights:

-Was able to visit 8 different National Parks (Crater, Zion, Arches, Glacier, Yellowstone, Grand Teton, Olympic, and Sequoia.)
