Bonus points if you guess the author (hint: he was born 163 years ago, today).

The thing is when I see them, I'm usually half way through the mundane 6+ hr drive to/from PHX to Ventura. and then all of a sudden....
But even more freaky and something I couldn't figure out for a while, was when you fly that route, you see numerous giant circles and other geometric patterns as you look out the plane window. I finally figured out that those were giant solar power installations (at least I think so).
Now there's a good investment. Cal has some deal where those are manated to be a certain percentage of the future power supply. Interesting (and likely scandalous as well!).

That is really sad, do you know why he was running?

I hope to get it latter this month.
actonjacton:
You know I looked at that (alms-laguna) already and tried to size up every possible way of doing it.
Problem is I'm supposed to be in Camarillo that night for a 'casino night' thing. I haven't ruled it out yet completely but if I do it, it'll be spur of the moment and I'll have to race south as soon as it's over.
I'll be back and forth a bit more until the work situation dicatates where I totally need to be.
I'll certainly let you know if I plan to head up for that.

So long everyone.

I've had an amazing experience here, but it's time to roll on.

Everybody take care.

Edited to add:

I'm just a point where it's undeniably creepy for a 40 year old man to be ogling 20 year old girls. I'll still be around to check in on the groups and forums, and I'll stay in touch with all of the friends I've...

Awww, no! Your last comment made me laugh for a straight minute. I love your little doggy.
Well- I don't think it's creepy... I'm married to a 40 year old, haha.

Highlights of my weekend in San Jose:

1. Margaritas at El Jardin Tequila Bar on Santana Row.
2. Meeting Sebastien Bourdais (driver for the Newman-Haas team, and season points leader).
3. Guided tour of the paddock.
4. Driving my friend's Porsche Boxster S on Skyline BLVD into the Santa Cruz mountains--full moon rising in the east, purple sky, fog rolling in from the west--totally surreal....

Well he didn't like it at first, I had him in my bedroom away from where I spend most of my time so he couldn't see me, and I wasn't giving him his out of cage time, so he chewed a big hole in his wheel to show his distaste for me, but now I've got things fixed so I can move him into the living room and he is much happier. And I had to buy him a new wheel and new toys.

Well see that would have been nice, but now that I live by myself I will not have the money to have TV, I can barley pay for the internet, witch I'm not happy about since there are some shows I'm really into right now.

Wow that sounds like an amazing drive in an amazing car.

#4 sounds amazing... wink

I'm going to San Jose this weekend to visit my best friend and to watch the San Jose Grand Prix.

I got a jury duty notice in the mail last week. This will be the third time I've been called; however, I've never actually been installed on a jury. The first time, I wasn't required to go in. The next time, the judge was...

I wasn't wanting a lot more people to show up, I just wanted more people that I invited to show up, it was really just the fact that I had been planning this party for 4 months and people still didn't show up, I mean like one of my friends said she had to work, I told her about it 4 months ago, I think if she wanted to she could have gotten off, she just didn't make an effort.

Yes, but I just can't be alone all the time any more.

lucky! i want to go to that. perhaps i'll be able to find time... i could hear them testing the cars/track all morning yesterday. tease

So we got a call from a fellow who needs his back yard revamped with a new design. He's getting older, and maintenance is getting tough for him. We went to his home and looked over the property--really nice place, huge home and yard. He told us his name, and it rang a bell, but I couldn't immediately place it. Well, we made some sketches...

In a classic case of Posting While Intoxicated, I inadvertently called Daniel Robert Epstein "David" (which is my name--well, the David part, anyway). Sorry, folks.

My girls are out of school, so I'm putting together a chore chart and a summer reading chart to keep them occupied while I try to work (I work from home). I love being able to stay home with my...

you have no idea how happy I was, I was jumping up and down and thinking god, I don't know what I would do with out my little man.

Are you going to make them scrub the floors on there hands and knees and clean the bathroom with a tooth brush? biggrin

I know it would have to be really hard to lose a kid, I probable will not have any, chinchillas are enough for me, but to have something bad happen to some one you are so close to has to be one of the hardest things on earth. it's good that you are turning something so horrible into something so great.
nikonphoto80:
In the wiled chinchillas live in communities, they say most move them like to have a friend, but it is better to get one from the same group so they can grow up together.

That is ok, I don't think anyone will show up anyway.

Any kind of work, I just need out of this job, I don't want to work in a factory ever again.

"Where there's simplicity, there is style."

Thanks to the lovely and talented Electric for redesigning my company's website (it's not done yet, but I'm excited about the direction).

We'll be doing an official website launch with all the related hoopla within a month or so.

Sorry for not getting back with everyone and replying to blogs, etc. Work has been incredibly busy, not to mention...
