Yeah fuck work. I'm taking today off.

Actually it's my first full day at home in 3 weeks. Been procrastinating on my Ohio taxes so I guess I'll do those. Did my feds like 6 weeks ago but didn't do the two states I have to file.

And of course my sister's dog left me a nice steaming "present" in front of the door to my room. Thanks, girl.
misery:

I really need to get some new pictures up here in this beast.

I am getting new ink later on today. It has been a long time...and I know it is gonna hurt! Being as though I am a skateboarder you would think I have a high tolerance for pain. So not true!

I am working 60 hours this week. I hope all of my...

jormagund:
60 hours, huh?

Wanna trade work schedules? Heh.

Expecting to go home this weekend. I'll likely have about 34 hours to spend there... what a vacation!

It sucks with nothing exciting goes on in your life and you have nothing to write about. It isn't that I don't want to update this thing, it is just that I lack the excitement needed to make the entries interesting.

At least it was a great day outside today. Maybe there will be some excitment in tomorrow.

Life's a gamble.

I'm actually sorta going by your neck of the woods tomorrow. Actually I'm on the PA / OH state line tonight, but in the morning I'm making a drop at the Kohl's DC in Findlay. From there I'm heading to Jackson, Michigan for a pickup that is heading for Massachusetts.

No time to fuck around though, I got like 1300 miles in two days so I gots to roll, yo. Like Boba the Fett I gotta finance my vette.
prockg:
I doubt it.

The world has become a very boring place. whatever

Are you one of my myspace friends?

I am sore. Been skateboarding at the new park the last 2 days. I have reaffirmed my love for skateboarding. Even if I can't do as much as I used to, and it hurts entirely too much to fall. I still can't give it up.

Oh, and picking on the little kids there is totally fun and...

There was a year or so when I was a teenager that I was beginning to get into skateboarding. At some point I pulled a muscle in my foot and never got back into it, however. I did discover mountain biking, however. Back before it was popular even... when most kids were purchasing "BMX" bicycles.

Now I'm just too fat and lazy. A result of this job I suppose. Besides... who would wanna skate around a truck stop? Yuk. Not to mention dangerous. Heh.

Tomorrow is my day off. I have absolutely no plans.

What should I do?

I am thinking about just bumming around Ann Arbor. Go to the Art Museum, the Natural History museum, and any other museums that I can come up with. Hopefully I can find a date to take out to eat and maybe hit up a movie.

What are YOU doing tomorrow??

I...

I have never been on a blind date.

Actually, I haven't been on any kind of date in like 6 months.
I have been working like a madman and I have been busy.

This is something I plan on working on real soon.

Is that weird?

Wowsers.

I met 3 SG peeps all in one night! Muchos shout-outs to kittyhawke, braeden, and penguinscheme! It was totally wonderful meeting you all and I had a kick ass time. Definately gonna let you all know when I come back into town next.

Meeting SG kids in real life wasn't nearly as scary as I thought it was gonna be. Now...

This is my truck. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

My truck is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.

My truck, without me, is useless. Without my truck, I am useless. I must drive my truck true. I must drive better than my competition who is trying to put me out of business.

Heh. I seem to recall chanting something similar before going to bed when I was in boot camp. Would I name the truck? I don't know... I guess it's worth consideration. I've had several trucks and never named them, but I've never owned them either. It'll take a little while to get this ball rolling. The first thing I'll be doing is making SURE I have a job (contractor) waiting to lease my services to. Then I will most likely give two weeks notice at my current job, then have a couple weeks "off" during which I will likely shop for a truck. I guess I'll have to ensure I can get financed first as well. It ain't like buying a car... there's a lot more "risk" with a truck. Most of the time you're expected to pay it off within a couple / few years because of the expected massive depreciation. I'm sure all of this business will give me ample time to think up a suitible name.
ladymaze:
Yeah...she already gives me the, "You need a boyfriend. I want grandkids" thing and I'm only 23-almost-24. mad

She claims she's kidding, but I'm not so sure...

I didn't even have steak!

I did manage to make quite a bit of scratch playing poker. Which almost makes up for my punk ass getting eaten up last week.

Hey, it was awesome to finally meet you last night1!! You should have called me and let me know you were coming, then I wouldn't have felt like such an asshole not saying hi at first. So next time you are in town, call me, biotch!!

Wow. What an excruciating 3 days of poker I have had!

It's been fun, but expensive. At least I went out and bought myself a bunch of new things BEFORE all of this happened.

Maybe I need to find a cheaper hobby.

I look like total fucking sex in my new spring jacket though! I love buying new clothes, but rarely do so.

Alright. Enough...

Amen to not having a very stressful night at work! Two days off in a row now. I should go to Ohio, do some cleaning and do some laundry. I will probably go out to eat, play LOTS of poker, and hopefully win some money.

Is it bad that I consider playing cards a second job? It sure as hell beats the hell outta my...

I have an upper respitory infection. It isn't exactly a walk in the park. Being sick sucks. I haven't worked in 2 days, my friends keep calling me to play cards, and all I have been doing is eating chicken noodle soup, drinking sprite, and watching really bad television.

I didn't know they had a reality TV show about the Gotti family!! WTF? Growing up...

I haven't owned a gun in a number of years, and it is illegal for me to carry one in this commercial vehicle. But if I changed careers, got something of a "real" job, and actually had a place to live you can bet your ass I'd go renew my license and be armed.

Gun control is a joke. Criminals will get weapons no matter what laws are enabled. Such measures only restrict the right for law abiding people to protect themselves. Just get trained if you've never used one before... seriously. It is a massive responsibility.

I hope you feel better. I will refrain from telling you how bad it can suck being sick in a semi.

Finally going to watch "SAW" tonight. I had no idea there was a SG interview for it... complete coincidence that I finally got to Wal Mart and found the widescreen version.
jormagund:
I know the place you're talking about. In fact, I passed it yesterday on my way to make a pickup in... FINDLAY! Heh. Automobile windshields that I brought (here) to N. Brunswick, NJ. I am pretty careful about where I buy fuel... because I get a discount at some places and not others. Thus, I tend to eat, shower, sleep at the places I buy fuel from. That Petro isn't one of them. The only Petro that I really go to is the one at exit 215 on I-80 in Milton, PA. They have an Iron Skillet there.

I guess truck stop restaurants are more of a novelty for the folks who aren't forced to eat all of their meals in them. When I was a young pup, we would usually hit Bickford's for late night meals. Not sure if they have those in Ohio / Michigan area. It's a 24 hour, breakfast anytime chain that is popular (at least) in the north-east. No waffle house, huddle house, etc in New England for the most part.

There is also only ONE truck stop in Rhode Island (where I grew up) that I am aware of, and I didn't live near it (relatively speaking, since anything is within an hour of anything else in RI).
