yes it was for me too.
if you hold your mouse over your picture when it's in file form it should give the properties of it, and show you what size it is.
check:
- when you preview export, and change it to jpeg it should shrink the size.
-then try modify, canvas size to shrink the pixels
- if not just email to me and i'll modify it for you and send it back to you, if you want
post on my page and let me know if this works, k?

So the new issue with the picture is that it isn't 235px wide, and 175px high. AHHHH grrrrr oh well, soon enough. Black and red coach, leather boots, pasbt, Iggy Pop, mmmm I had a good night last night. My lips are sealed. HAHA

So I downloaded the thing. Then it asked me to register for it. So I do. Then it asked for a serial number. AHHH I dont have one. This whole thing is a pain in the ass. Help Please!

right, when it ask's if you have a serial #, it should give you the option for the trial for 30 days. if not... you should be able to download the serial # too. you'll just have to search for : serial number for fireworks.

i know. it took me like 3 months to get the hang of this site. you have to change all your pictures into Jpeg's, which is what fireworks will do.
if you want to, you can send me just your profile pic you want to use, and i can modify it and send it back, so at least you'd have your "mug" up there
