Only me.

This morning on a trip to LaPort IN. I judged the fuel in my van so perfectly that I coasted into the first oasis after on the toll road for some cheap IN fuel only to find the pumps ALL broken. That's right, no gas for DUG.

WTF!!

Luckily I have a can with me in the van so I was able to...

I've never seen that: that was pretty amazing. In her defense though, when your boss "won't allow subsitutions" Jesus Christ does this make your job difficult. It's impossible to explain. frown
lil_tuffy:
thank you . I had no idea how well the whole 'designery' approach to a cheesy 80's horror flick would go over but the reception has been pretty good!

I am more peaceful today...

The tallest dog (the greyhound pit I was willing to loan you) is almost 5 feet standing. You bet I will blame that shit on him.

Shit is not starting to happen.

For those of you following the recent professional drama that has befallen me the payoff may be coming soon; after a couple of weeks of lunacy that would put even the most bizarre episode of Matlock to shame tomorrow shit is going to start happening.

Apparently when you spend the BIg dough and get some of the best attorneys...

I'll agree w/Northsider on that maybe Colombo.

Oh and I meant to ask: Did you mean to say, "Shit is now starting to happen?"

Sometimes life is just a little too funny for me to easily believe that it is 100% random

Sitting at the food court in Midway airport this evening eating some horrible Chinese food I cracked open my fortune cookie to receive a 'fortune' that commanded me, 'Be patient, good things come to those who wait.' I am, still, unsure if I find the cookies slightly...

Nah, nobody even pays attention to those hosers anymore. I'd have to dress up as Grand Wizard of the KKK to raise any eyebrows on State Street. But the fireworks thing has warmed to me; specifically your idea of throwing firecrackers at unsuspecting drudges. Low level terrorism like that is an intriguing avenue...

OK, this morning I'm going to the airport chock full of pessimism! hahaha. I'm glad I don;t travel for a living or anything.

The carb is a vacuum secondary holley 570. Pretty conservative compared to the rest of the build. When I come across a cheap used 650-700 I'll pick it up & see what it'll gain me in power and lose me in mileage. I'm sticking with vacuum carb since it's an auto trans. I haven't messed with secondary springs either, that's probably the first thing I should do. I just want be sure that at 3/4 to full throttle they're not closing on the shifts' rpm drops. Below 3/4 throttle I want the best mileage.

I must be slipping because I have seen two first run movies in the last 6 months that I liked.

The Incredible Hulk was good, not Iron Man good in my opinion but still really good. Great mix of the TV show and the comic book back stories; really great treats for the geeks and a pretty good representation of the characters. I was...

First, the *quality* thing is right on. I was looking through some older sets, and the quality and originality was just higher.

And the free content *does* sort of bug me. It just seems like it really leaves SGs themselves between a rock and a hard place. It keeps the cash they get paid down, and really washes out the "personality" aspect of the site. So it goes.

There are days I just can't take it anymore.

Usually these days revolve around work but other times it is the outside world.

Today is work, yesterday it was external.

What the hell is it that makes overly perky people (whom I believe are all fucked up on some form of drug) feel that the whole fucking world has a desire to share in their...

Actually that's from a MAJOR league game. Note the Red Sox uniform on the batter. I remember when it happened.

And, DUG, you ask about why I am fighting off my incipient meanness?
thanise:
yes and i hope it is in your very pretty truck

But right now I feel like embracing the meanness.

Brendan Reilly is the guy. 42nd Ward.
northsider:
Oh, it was all just a misguided attempt at a joke. Clearly I'm too young to play the Grumpy Old Man for humorous effect.

Are you supporting having the museum in the park? Or do you think he'll be run out of town for daring to cross Mayor-for-life Daley?

It is official, I am on finance lock down.

Kinda.

I need to buy something stupid; time to ask for a raise.

Yes, it is another old pick up truck cause you just can't have enough.

Been a busy weekend in several directions and I am tired but stunningly happy, especially when you consider how my moods normally run.

Cheers all!

aw, hell - i don't know. it's pretty unpredictable. but we've got a few things going for us. they just opened the back patio area, so that increases space - i know the folks there well enough that i don't mind waiting all that much as we'll be taken care of, and if it's just the two of us, the chances of just catching a seat at the bar are pretty high.

besides, they have fantastic beer that you can enjoy while awaiting a seat. smile

really though, if you ever want to meet up on a weekday evening after work or something, give me a holler.
darqkloud:
I didn't mean too. I woke up early, just fell back asleep on the couch.
