I finally got everything moved and turned in the keys for the old place. Wow, I didn't realize just how much stuff I have.

And now the unpacking begins.....

I love unpacking! Trying to figure out where you want everything.

Best o' luck, Dave.

I was rooting for the offense. That's what I did when they were playing out here. I found it really hard to root against the Giants because I follow them so closely, but it gets a lot easier when they suck so fucking bad.

.500, baby!

Moving sucks.....such a fucking pain in the ass. It's been five years, almost, since the last time I moved. I'd forgotten just how annoying it is. Since I am only moving a little over a block, I have been loading up a dolly with boxes and just walking them over there. I think I've about taken the last of the dolly trips and it's time...

Nope, no statute of limitations for education debt.

It's a "he said, she said" situation. I know I paid, but I have no proof I paid, therefore I did not pay.

I don't want to go to work today. Going to work sucks. I want to stay in bed all day.

I'm moving Monday and I haven't packed a thing. I could pack, move and unpack everything I own in less than a day if I needed to. However, I am spreading it out over a few days, so I'm not so worried about being completely...

She should be.

How fucking cool is it that Dr_Frank is a SG member and a writer for the newswire!?!?! That's like the second coolest thing that's happened this week.

Not much else for me to report....I've a long day ahead of me, so I suppose I should get to it.

I'd have to think on that.

Once I saw you had Furcal I KNEW you'd probably trade if it meant you would get Berkman. Damn, Dave, would you go teh ghey for him???
mylf:
I can't afford to trade him now anyway with the possibility that Chipper will be out for the rest of the season.

There is no smilie to show my tears, so I mys use frown

Damn, I've been slacking on the updates. I've been working. I've been slacking on my reading too, so I haven't finished a book in a week or so. As much as I am enjoying the Evelyn Waugh book I'm reading, it's been slow going.

Mostly I've been working. I'm trying to scrape together enough money to pay the security deposit on the new place. I'm...

no, I've never seen it because everyone I know who has seen it has hated it, but now that it's on dvd, I'd like to see it...being there w/ peter sellers is probably one of my all time favorite movies, so any movie w/ sellers can't be all that bad...

So the last time I actually sat down and looked at sets was back in mid-January. I've looked at some here and there (like Arete, Aura, Malice, Stacie and some others). But today I went through every set for the last 4 and a half months or so. There was much hotness involved.

I went to lunch with my sister, her boyfriend,...

Not sure about my favorite...but i dug Aiki.

I hear you on the baseball thing, I love radio-baseball.

Sorry for calling you Lachey, but I couldn't think of another Reds fan (here or anywhere else).

BTW, looks like our first vs. worst Fantasy baseball matchup will end up a tie, or close to it. and how the fuck can you be in last with that pitching staff??

Go look at Aura's set....wow. She's made a home in my favorites and may be up there for awhile. And to think I'd never even heard of her until yesterday evening. [So, I just realized, I did know she existed, but I knew who she was under a different name when she was just a member.....]

I started reading the Evelyn Waugh book that...

He said he thinks he lost them during one of his moves. Sorry. frown

Do you have my new number? If not, it's in my previous journal entry. I don't have you in my phone.

Well, I was bored, so I went shopping.

I got two new shirts. For the last few months I have been trying to expand my wardrobe a bit so that when I want to go look for a new job I am not restricted by only owning t-shirts.

I got new books also:

Whisky Galore - Compton Mackenzie
The Life and Extraordinary Adventures of Private...

As I Lay Dying - William Faulkner - one of my favorite faulkner's one of his most intense and contraversial
(it took me two reads - but it was well worth it)

The Sound and the Fury - William Faulkner - faulkners pinnacle - can be a bit drab at points, but
really shows his mastery of symbolism - i read it twice in school - helpful to read reviews with it

Rabbit, Run - John Updike - if this is your first updike be prepared top get addicted

thats a load more new books than shirts! i love new clothes, i dont ever get the chance to go out shopping but love victorias secret clothing that can be purchased online! wooohooo!

For being an 11-1 thrashing, the game was pretty entertaining. Absolutely perfect weather.....

We actually got free tickets too. Some random guy came up to us when we were about to get in line for tickets. He told us he had three extras and just gave them to us. We were somewhat skepitical, but we took them and had no trouble getting in. The seats...

Free tickets are always good.

I didn't know about Javy until you said that ... thanks for the tip. I signed the Cards' catcher in the meantime.

How fucking painful was that Tuesday night loss by the Phils? I lost the W for Myers and the S for Wagner all with that one pitch. D'OH!!!

Congratulations on the new apartment!! That's awesome.
jonasgrumby:
I'd recommend some of those bands to you, but you can already tell from the journal entry that I'm a big fan.

Even so, I think everybody needs to hear Ankety Low Day. And this live set from Zony Mash is amazing.

Glad you dig the Ouspensky. He was a disciple of Gurdjieff, so you may like Beelzebub's Tales to His Grandson, which I've also not read -- but which I've always thought I'd pick up someday.

So, in a spur of the moment effort to make my life not suck quite as much.....I'm leaving in about a half hour and will be arriving in Milwaukee somewhere around 11:00CT so's I can attend the Noon matchup between the Colorado Rockies and the Milwaukee Brewers. Should be a good time. Two guys from work are my traveling companions. While this eliminates me from...

I have decided to protest Interleague play. Not that MLB will ever notice my lack of attendance, but you know, I gotta do my part for the cause. I've been to a couple games and while it was enjoyable to see my Reds at Tiger Stadium or the Twins play at Wrigley, I just hate the concept of the AL playing the NL when it...
