I lost my Mother January 17.

To say its been unreal doesn't even come fucking close....I never fucking knew how painful this shit would be.

For over a decade whenever I walked my dog I brought a trash bag and picked up littler.  Nothing was going to be worse than what I was there to pick up, anyway.   As I started working from home we walked together more often, and as she aged still more.  When she passed away I missed just getting out, and started removing invasives that were killing the trees by the nearby elementary school.  A couple neighbors saw me and started doing it, too.  Eventually we made a pile that required a dump truck to remove, and so far we've saved about a dozen trees.  It was wonderful to see them leafing out healthily this spring.

YES! You're a fuckin' genius, Nene. There I was. Holding your dead limp body in my arms. I stare longingly into your lifeless eyes, gazing at the Xs that have appeared like on dead fish in old cartoons, as I think to myself "You know I totally could. No one would really KNOW would they?" Then it hits me! I have three car batteries, two pair of jumper cables, and four half-drank bottles of Jack Daniels right here at my disposal! Out come your perky-ass nipples and rest is life-saving history. :D

Things are AWESOME.  Planning on quitting software entirely by 2016 and being a full-time musician.  Before I get too old to take chances.  Finally got a good singer.

Freaking out. Tomorrow will be stressful as fuck. Once I'm on the plane Thursday morning, I should be fine.

Looking forward to epic amounts of beer, nerdery and sex.
