I think my pet turtle has imprinted on me...the other night it followed my finger expectantly...and last week it seemed to see my face right into my eyes...

I had a water turtle once. It was hilarious. We'd feed him fish, and after a while he got so lazy that he'd just take a bite out of one if it happened to swim by. You would be amazed how long a fish can live with a bite taken out!
Turtle died though. frown
chloe:
I don't have any pets. frown If you're gonna get a dog, make sure you adopt one from the humane society or a shelter. Then take em to the beach!! biggrin

Making the field fertile
The Zen master entrusted the disciple with looking after the rice patch.
In the first year the disciple took care that the necessary water was never lacking. The rice grew strong and it was a good harvest.
In the second year he had the idea of adding a little fertilizer. The rice grew fast and the harvest was bigger.

the gig that was promised for 30 plus hours a week didn't fall through...

it was assumed that it was possible to live in the bay area for 20 hours a week...

obviously the people who do the hiring in don't realize what it costs to live in the bay...

in the words of the great homer j....
