It's a loss-less compression format that takes the ORIGINAL CD (or higher in some cases, Like some of Nine Inch Nails' online released album downloads) quality audio and compress' the data (very well) in a way that when uncompressed, the audio is 100% exactly like the original. Works only in a few programs, like WinAmp (really, the only program you should want,
