In theory, Japanese get taught some English in school, but I think it comes across more as "funny word-like sounds you can share with your friends" and "interesting shapes to scribble here and there."

Some day we will destroy their society by convincing just one of them that being American is better than being Japanese. Then within one week, they will all be American.
