I just saw a special on the War of 1812. Which, as we all know, actually went on until about 1815.

Anyway, one of the craziest bits was when the Brits were storming Washington DC and burning all the government buildings (in retaliation for us invading Canada, but that's neither here nor there).

Just as they were marching toward the city, then on to Baltimore,...

Though I only occasionally believe in a higher power, I think a lot of what we do and a lot of what happens to us is leading us to something. Maybe not a "life's path" so much, but everything happens for a reason. I can't think of a specific example at the moment, but I'm an awful storyteller anyway.

Yeah, leave me when you find something better to do. They all do, it's fine. *sniffle* wink

I seem to be losing e-friends. One's gone gray, one just up and disappeared, and one's threatened to take some time off the site... I suppose all things come and go in cycles.

I haven't been that commenty in people's journals lately, and I completely understand people drifting off from that. Obviously the gray and the taking time off aren't related to me at all....

As long as you're still semi-active on the site, I will keep you on my list. You don't even have to comment all that much, but every once and a while I'd appreciate it. I give the people I X-out plenty of opportunity to get back on my good graces, so don't worry.

Oh yeah, people who say they are taking "time away from the site" are just trying to evoke sympathy. Don't be a party to it.

I'm totally obsessed with that show.

Oooh one week to go! Good luck, hope you totally kick ass and get lots of good things out of it.

It's 5pm now, and Melbourne's finally decided to realise it's Spring time, so it's still nice and warm and sunny. Yay!
mistersatan:
Oh, admit it- that was good writing.

Have I ever told you your artwork is fuckin' dope? Cause it really is.

Alright, I have to rant about the site a little. I was going to go off about how little I care about Florida and how much federal tax money is being given as a reward for retards to rebuilding the same shitty homes in a frequent hurricane zone... but something's been nagging me for a while:

The SG New feature sucks.

I think it was...

The last two entries are a short play I wrote.

This entry is a short wondering. After reading the whole dog shoots man story (first on CNN, then on what laughingly passes as a 'news' post around these parts), I was once again struck by how stupid we are as a race.

Not because a man tried to shoot dogs. Without defending that idiot, I...

Yeah, but you don't actually have to interact with other people and humiliate yourself in front of them when you don't know how to play if you stick to slots.

And here is Part Two of a kind of dark two part play I wrote. Part One can be found in the previous journal entry. This was originally written as a comic book script. which I may still draw at some point. The comic was about a different character than seen here; throughout the 13 issue series, I delved into the secondary characters. This scene...

uni group = my class group at university, a.k.a the bane of my existence, the people I am forced to work with and cover for to get good marks at school.

my last (long, boring) journal entry had some emails from my stupid group about an assignment we are meant to be doing...

--> edit b/c i hate bad spelling.

Here's Part One of a two part play I wrote. This was originally constructed in the early/mid 90s... right before Pulp Fiction. Some people that have read it since think I'm ripping Tarantino, but, basically, it was before.

It hasn't been produced, but it has appeared in short story form in a now defunct comic magazine called Glyph. Though I can't remember which issue....

eeek wow, you are so good.

i love reading your writing... I'm not sure why I hardly ever post to you these days. Hey, I hardly ever post to anyone I guess. But I still always come and check you out wink

thanks for the Violet Crumbles, I am a self-confessed chocoholic. It doesn't take much to make me happy!

What in evolution set up the idea to not learn from our mistakes? Or is that a product of civilization. Is that another way we've bred natural selection out of the equation?

How many times has someone stepped across the street in front of your car, when there is a half mile space right behind you? How many news stories can we run about Presidential...

Balloons are special because they're only one day of the year. It was a good birthday.

And I'm alternately sickened and drooling from your comment. Puss...pie...puss...pie.... I'm so confused.

I do love a man that can cook though.

So, over the last couple weeks, I've sprinkled a PG-13 rant in with some other crap. Like you, I'm sort of bored with the subject, but finish I must.

First of all the real title of this story should be Why was Johnny in a PG-13 movie? That's part of the evil of the PG-13 rating, is parents think it's okay, 'cause it's not 'R'....

Well, I've wanted to conclude my PG-13 rant, but I've been sucked into playing Medieval:Total War (a computer game which features both board game elements and real time army based combat).

My friend Inga saw a TV show where couples are going to a doctor in order to choose the gender of their child. Putting aside the moral implications of the decision itself, the basic...

hi honey kiss

well I did end up disappearing for a few days, but that was mostly because of boring stuff like school.

I'll send you an e about everything, but basically things are much better now. I let myself get too sad sometimes, and it gets hard to break out of some of my bullshit cycles.

anyway - today I am Happy! Thx for the sweet comment smile

Medieval: Total War... very good game. It took me more than a year to kick that little addiction... just in time for the superb-looking Rome: Total War's arrival.

Sometimes (as regards to your more serious subject), I think about just adopting a 3rd world kid while I'm still single. I think it would just make things simpler.

Alright, another new entry. Like, four in five days. And, finally, more to my PG-13 rant. For my new friends and the old ones that missed it, here's the first half.

Man, I'm tired. It's been a long weekend without naps.

The year after PG-13 came into existance, not much changed... but the signs were already there. The MPAA had never been known for consistant...

oh no, i am about two journal entries behind! Been kicking back in Sydney, but my last weekend up there has just finished so it's back to the real world and my crazy home life.

Okay, so I have an interview tomorrow, and I've decided I can't read your journal (properly) until after that. I want to enjoy it, not feel guilty that I should be doing something else!

Welcome to day 3 of at least 3 days in a row of posting.

First order of business. I love the little friends windows. I have resisted adding friends for a while (or even asking for any). I am not a 'collector' of people or feel any more or less justified in my existance because of the number of strangers that I call 'friends'; but,...

I'm not a friend collector either. In fact, I went through and dumped a bunch of people who had quit posting and/or replying since I added them as "friends". If you ain't gonna make the effort, it's no fun having you around.

PS. Not to steal your thunder or anything, but it was Roxy who was the deciding factor behind my profile pic. wink
