I'm gonna take a little pause before posting the last part of my play to talk about Lost In Translation. Which I just saw; finally.
For the record, I liked it. In brief, I thought there wer two stereotypical moments which almost brought it down and I thought Bill Murray's performance was really good, but not worth winning an Oscar for. Which makes me feel...

New this week, organized pics in my pic section, including a lot of goofy shit I did for Juliana one night. At some point I'll add more pics of my traveling Supergirl doll, which I have taken to many states and some little island called the United Kingdom.
For your continued amusement, here is the second to last part of my play, Searching For Julie...

I read your journal entries and they are very interesting, especially how the landscape of your grandma's house evolves in the dreams. As for the deja vu thing... I've been having deja vu a lot lately. I told my boyfriend about it because it got to the point of really freaking me out. He told me (and I don't know if this is true... but it's a good theory) that the reason why we have deja vu is because the dendrites, the parts of a neuron that receive information from other neurons, are miss fireing. This, to me, makes sense because the neurons is what sends information through your brain. All of what you see, feel, touch, say is taken through the brain in that manner. If some of the neurons miss fire and sends the information slower or maybe even twice we may get the feeling that we've "already done this before". I don't know what causes them to mis-fire in the first place though. I think your theory of genetic memories really comes out through dreams more than deja vu since deja vu is often a modern situation.
Okay, enough about that. It's good to see you put more of the play up.... I'm really getting into it!

Are you talking down to me? I would like that world too, but that's not what we live in. Sometimes one's opinions come from emotion and not just logic.
I just have to tell you that as a music engineer who's up to date on all the latest trends, ideas and technology, I hold a very common view amongst my professional peers. From Hollywood, CA to Hollywood, FL the general consensus is that the majors are finally getting what's coming to them. No one I know except for those at the very, very top have any sympathy for the record industry. And we're complicit in the scam! The feeling is that the truth is exposed, and we can all sleep easier now that we're free of living this lie.
I write for one of the three major industry mags and they all editorialize on the greed and short sightedness of the record industry. If they had shifted gears to a downloadable product in time, they could have avoided suing their customers. What other industry sues people for not buying their product? And what is their product most of the time? A lot would say mass marketed crap. Not inspirational art. I know that's subjective, but that's what seems to be happening. Consumers are placing lower value on certain artists and styles. The labels with different and friendlier business models and a more diverse catalog are the ones that will suvive.

Good
I remember most of my dreams and there is a really specific landscape to them. Im not going into that here, as I covered a lot of this in a past journal entry, here, in this Dream entry.
I have recently been thinking about something I heard (probably on these very boards) that Dj vu could be a form of genetic memory. We know...

hey I didn't even know you liked the Bosstones?! Sweet That was sweet of you to give away your autographed stuff.
I have a Marilyn Manson autographed ticket stub with the original members (cept Mason b/c he was arrested at the show) I could never part with that!
I should take a pic of it and post it...it was awesome meeting them and actually hanging with them. Of course, now they are too big shot to remember a little show back in the day. Manson did write about it in his biography though...so who knows. I was attending history...lol.

In the last few entries I have ranted about global subjects or posted parts of a play I wrote a couple years ago.
For this one a change of pace... and by that, I mean a change of pace for me. I'm going to whine a little.
Whining in these journals is pretty commonplace. I don't mind it so much. I remember being young...

Hey Everybody! This is the second act of my play, Searching For Julie Wisch. If you are stumbling on this for the first time, and at all interested in reading it, you'd do well to go back to here:
The First Act
And follow the entries. There are one or two non-play ones in-between, but those are pretty clearly marked.
And now... Act Two!

This is another snippet of my play, Searching for Julie Wisch... which was performed at the Seattle Fringe Fest in 2002.
For the first scene, simply click back one entry. For the Prolog, follow the link there. If you haven't read those, you probably should first... it would make more sense that way.
INTERLUDE
As the lights dim, Ariadne EXITS and JULIE enters.

heheh defintely a gender thing. I usually have a sweet heart and can't be mean, but I sometimes think I need to be. It creeps me out that he's gatta come into my house now! Yuck!
Also I noticed in your "what makes you sad" section that one of them is people who believe what the media is telling them. Damn I agree with this. I have friends I just can't talk to about anything political b/c they are glued to the O'Reilly Factor and hang on every word spoken to them. Keeping people in fear is what they are all about.
Well, thanks for coming by my journal come by anytime

I wish I could say that I don't care what people say and mean it. I don't. Maybe someday.
