Been a rough couple of days. Monday evening, while preparing for our midnight release, I got a phonecall with the news that a good friend had committed suicide over the weekend.

I didn't really know how to process that information, and to be honest, I still don't. This was completely out of left field. Anyone that knew Dan Hendrix knew him as a guy who...

Hey man, please accept my sincerest condolances for the loss of your friend. I wish you all the strength in the wolrd in dealing with it. Try not to dwell on the times that you didn't spend together and instead remember the good times in which you did. I am sure those meant a great deal to him.

Check that out - it's only been three days since my last update. I know you're impressed.

Got up at 5am on Saturday morning for a quick breakfast, then out for my first 5-mile run. Truth be told, it wasn't nearly as bad as I expected it to be - I just stuck to the same pace I had been using all week, and after...

I kind of feel like we all SURVIVED the river, you know? Like the first half was about fun and drinking and the second half was a Bruce Willis movie.

Are you training for something with the running? I started running last winter so that I could do a couple 5Ks (and also to not be fat and out of shape anymore) but I'm starting to think about doing a 10K in the fall.

It was good times, except for the burning blackeyed
Remember to work some 100yd windsprints into your routine. You will amazed how quickly your endurance builds up wink

Running continues to go well. After taking it easy for the latter part of last week, I pulled off another 4 miles on Saturday morning before meeting _Sylar_ for breakfast. This week, I tried making some adjustments to my pace and the length of my walk/run intervals, and it seems like it's been helping. I hope so, because tomorrow I move up to 5 miles,...

I think it may be time for some new running shoes - I've had these for about 14 months or so, and despite going through periods where I wasn't going to the gym regularly, I've still put a lot of miles on them. After talking to Bart, that seems to be a pretty reasonable explanation why I'm having problems with my shins. I just finished...

Has it really been a week since my last update? Wow.

For those of you who don't follow me on Twitter or don't have me added on Facebook, I've gotten back into running again. I had been wanting to do it for quite some time, but lacked any sort of motivation to actually get off my ass and get started. You can credit _Sylar_ with...

I think Margot and the Nuclear So and Sos may have ascended the throne to take their place as my absolute favorite live band. There's just something about the atmosphere when they're onstage that I can't quite put my finger on, but I always go home feeling euphoric.

_Sylar_ showed up a little before 7pm, and we linked up with Dave and Kate for what...

Yeah, I'm definitely glad I went to see NIN, because it was fucking AWESOME. They hardly played anything from the last few records - in fact, I would say about 80% of the set was comprised of material from Pretty Hate Machine and The Downward Spiral. I was pleasantly surprised by a few of the song choices, including "Reptile" and "Mr. Self Destruct," but...

That means a lot to me, darling.

I am super excited about all of this, but at the same time I'm sooo worried about failing. I appreciate you being here to support me. You're the best! smile

Just a quick update today.

Finally saw "Star Trek." All of the hype surrounding it still couldn't prepare me for its greatness. It was a brilliant re-envisioning of the source material, tremendously fun from start to finish, and I can easily say that it was the best movie I've seen yet this year. Can't wait to see it again.

It's a busy week at the...

Work. Drink. Sleep.

That's my life, in a nutshell. I've been stretched pretty thin with the job duties lately, and by the time I get home at night, I don't have the energy to do anything besides make myself a drink and stretch out on the couch, where I usually wind up falling asleep. Then I wake up a few hours later, confused and disoriented,...

It never ceases to amaze me how someone can go from feeling so strongly about something in particular to feeling nothing at all in the blink of an eye. Then again, perhaps it's not that the feelings have changed so drastically, but that the feelings were never actually there in the first place? It's something to ponder.

"you're not the other one..."

I seem to...

A lot can change in a week.

Due to a number of circumstances, I decided to stay with Game Crazy. In the end, it seemed like the better option. The other job represented a chance to try something new, but ultimately I was never sold on the idea that I would enjoy sitting in a cubicle talking through a headset nearly as much as I...

I feel your pain on bumping someone's job...I just got hired at Hollywood Video a couple weeks ago..and I guess they are cleaning house? One of the Shft Lead's hates me simply because of who I replaced....I feel awful about it frown

EDIT: About the GoDaddy.com job, I think you made a good move there....My husband worked for them for a couple of years before he was "let go" for reasons that still light a fire under his ass....last I checked most people who started there didn't last more than a few years anyway....
