Love is a wonderful thing. Then again, so is chocolate. At least with chocolate you can get it from anywhere. You don't have to fight for it, strive to keep it alive, wonder where it's all gone wrong or demonstrate your commitment to it.

Now normally I really wouldn't put too much weight in The Sunday Times' star sign prediction for my week, especially when...

^ HEY! I saw! I saw!!

Bob's not dead! Hurrah!

...

and for you miss, this is for when you get your internets back,

ampersand:
Yay for the having the internet back!! And I'm glad you liked the otters. They are rather genius.

So, did you get all your sewing done? ... or should I not ask?

I baked cookies at 7:30 this morning. I am housewife extraordinaire, hear me roar!

Baking is one of my oft-forgotten favorite pastimes. It's calming and tasty and if it wasn't so darned hot I would be baking all the time at the moment. The ultimate procrastination tool!

Do you know any good recipes? Want me to send you some cookies?

Today one of my lecturers...

Y'know where I get most of my recipies from. Usually it's off the side of the jar, or the back of the box. I keep waiting for my love of cooking to come back, but it just seems so far away right now. Just doesn't seem worth it when it's just for me.

Now, onto the next question - why do I love what I love? Well, right now I'm still trying to figure out what exactly it is that I love. If we're talking the film thing I don't do often enough, then I think it's just the buzz I get from being on set. The thrill of being surrounded by a group of like-minded individuals, all working towards the same thing. When it works, it works so well, and it's like a drug. I feel awake and alive and like I could just keep doing it forever.

I guess the writing thing is the same, except remove all the other people. When it works - which it kinda is right now - it works really well. I just wish I had enough words in me to be able to do it on a more full time basis.

So, you ready for more Freaks? wink

You are a jewel. I heart you for serious.

I failed.

I tried. Really I did. But, apparently, SG is more addictive than crack and cigarettes put together. Not that I've ever had to quit either of those. You know what I mean though, right?

So how have you all been in the last...err...week and a half?

Life here in Ellieville has been kinda inwardly tumultuous, which is one of the reasons for my...

Thank you miss! That worked even better than snuggles under a blanket on a rainy day. I looked at the baby on the cat and giggled. Then I looked away. Then I looked back and giggled some more. This continued for an embarrassingly long time.
ampersand:
Curse you and your crack-like Tetris! Seriously, how am I supposed to get anything done now!

... Bah!!

p.s. but yeah, thank you kiss blush

You've probably noticed how little time I've been spending round these parts of late. My heart's not really in it anymore and, honestly, I have other things that I want to focus my attention on. So I'm going to go away for a bit. Perhaps not for good but long enough to warrant a farewell. Thanks to everyone who's been my friend and kept me...

My, time flies when you're on holidays. I need to update, but with what? What have I been doing since Christmas?

My new years was pretty low key, I worked at the pub the whole night which was kind of all I felt like doing. I was in no mood for the whole "we're going to have the best night EVAR" new years disappointment. Apparently...

So I would say somewhere between occasionally and often.

So ... how are you?

Ok ok ok, I really need to update. Tafe's been finished for almost two weeks now and I've spent most of those two weeks guiltily looking at Mr Space Bunny every time I come to SG and trying to motivate myself to type out the things that've been happening. In all honestly I'm still not very motivated so I will resort to photos and bullet...

I suggested he buy a space heater but he seemed reluctant, saying he doesn't like to buy extra things. He's already having trouble with his electricity bill, it's about twice as much as mine and his apartment is half the size.

I guess this apartment isn't all we cracked it up to be. BAH. It's so big for so cheap!!

This is my life at the moment. It's all head down, nose to the grindstone until December. The menswear project is due Tuesday and is practically complete, just a couple of button holes and a cravat to sew and it's all done. It's been interesting to look at the way men choose and wear clothes and I have been boring all and sundry with conversations...
