Man, the holidays wore me down. It really should be a time to rest, reflect, and enjoy the company of friends and family, but it's not quite that anymore. I don't really know what it is now, but I don't like it.
It's been a pretty bad month so far. My aunt was tragically shot and killed, and my best friend is in intensive care after getting into a head on collision with a drunk driver. Events like this make you realize how precious every day of life is, and how foolish we are for taking every day for granted. 
Ha! So here it is... another birthday.Sadly, I don't feel anything but older.
Friday was nice. My wife and I took the day off to celebrate our 11th wedding anniversary. We saw the Chihuly exhibit at Phipps Conservatory which was awesome. Afterwards, we spent some time shopping, and enjoying the day. That night, we finished the day with a wonderful dinner, and icecream from Stone Cold Creamery. I still cant believe it's been 11 years!
Man, what a shitty weekend. I woke up on Saturday morning with a sore throat and a temperature of 104. I really didn't feel all that well. After seeing the doctor and getting some antibiotcs, so I'm feeling a lot better.
I was supposed to have a job interview today, but it was postponed due to a funeral or something. Kind of a bummer, but maybe I just wasn't meant to change jobs right now. I had a pretty nice weekend. My friend helped me install a new sliding glass door which was more work than we expected. Those kinds of projects always are, I guess. Afterwards, I went golfing for the first time in a LONG time. That, too, was humbling. 
I was driving along the other day, and went by a sign that said "END Speed Limit 45". The next sign, "Speed limit 25" wasn't for about another .5 mile. So.... in that .5 mile, it's like there's no limit? Drive as fast as you want for .5 mile? Just a wierd thought, I guess.
