I feel very similar. Christmas for me is about family, but mostly kids. Mine are grown now (no grandkids yet). I treasure making memories rather than accumulating possessions. Although I enjoy my own company and am quite content being single, Christmas is the one time I truly feel lonely. I miss having that special person to share it with.
