A few years ago I suddenly realized that I didnt like being complemented. Can this be corrected with chemicals? Its extremely uncomfortable. I dont know why it makes me angry to look at my strengths and accomplishments. Am I a self-loathing perfectionist? Yuck! Thats so annoying. surreal

oh and May Day in da haus! power to da peeps!

a peep-> bok

i liked what you wrote in the punk rules thread. way to tie up what had been a rather silly and vacuous discussion with something coherent and meaningful. i especially like the last part.

in light of your current journal entry i'd just like to say that the above was not a complement and you are a stupid head.

wink

well since you asked, Enschede is in the east of the netherlands right next to the german border, it's kinda nice here big enough to be called a city but the east still has enough country side to be able to get out and enjoy some nature if you want.

Sleepytime trauma

I used to have dreams where I would know I was asleep but unable to wake up. And I would wake up repeatedly in the dream in my room. I would know I was still asleep because none of the light switches would work (it would be nitetime). I would try to wake up by doing crazy things like jumping though windows only...

"For as long as space endures,
And for as long as sentient beings remain,
Until then may I too abide
To dispel the misery of the world."

The Dalai Lama came to campus today. Im always in awe of someone who bears witness to such abysmal suffering without turning to hate. I met Nawang Khechog and thanked him for the music. This film made me...

Overflowing with words and memories, trying to get it all down before it starts to fade. Sure, on rare occasion we stand in the presence of greatness, or have moments of clarity and inspiration. But more often than not, we dont know when we change and when we change others by the most subtle and seemingly trivial gestures. And only after, do we realize what...

Phase2 of The Project nears completion. been sXe since the beginning of October. some serious compensation will commence now!

a ride on the bus is a trip to '96. things are so different here compared to southern california. the hills loom up on every side. unspoiled nature rules here. people don't flaunt wealth, wear designer clothes, or run you down in the parking lot. personality...

good luck with your project and the serious compensation.

I've never been out west, but I'd love to visit northern california. It sounds beautiful.
You're going to the Netherlands in January? I'm so so jealous. I hope you have a great time and and a lovely and relaxing holiday.

kisses to you.

not sure what to tell you about the neck and shoulders, arnica and st. johns wort cream are good for tension used with massage.
What would you like to know about acupuncture? It's based on the theory of meridians in the body, sort of like energy lines. It works, as far as I can tell. Everyone I know that's done it has benefited from it. I don't know a whole lot about it.

oh man, sleep or food... that's a tough choice. i think i'd also choose food, because at least it can brighten a groggy, sleep-deprived day.

in my random comic collection is Athena Inc, lots of Tony Daniel, Tank Girl, Love & Rockets, Josh Simmons' Happy: Zirkus, a great many Image titles that i liked the looks of but never bothered to follow, and like, a million Archies. biggrin
