This is my life right now. Everything is so full of life and love, and everything is wonderful. People don't update their journals when life is good, I've found - journals are made for bitching. All I can think to say these days is that I love life, and I love everything.

I LOVE that song smile I always stop when that commercial's on and sing along with it.

It is, isn't it? The news has been full of the story all week, and every day it gets worse.

As of today the hijackers have excluded the two or three surviving old members on the executive committee from the organization's press conferences, fired the office manager, forcibly changed the office locks, barred the old members from the office, seized 25 years' worth of confidential research material, and recorded the conversations of staff and volunteers against their wishes. And yet they're playing victim and crying about how awful it is that people are being mean to them. It's maddening.

Thank you guys for the birthday wishes! biggrin I had a very good day. In fact, my birthday celebrations aren't over yet. I've got one more to go, when my parents are in town this weekend. My whole birthday has been tea-themed, so I've been quite pleased.

Feeling kind of blah. It'll pass. I should get another cuppa.

Spring is slowly creeping in! We went to the zoo last Friday, as it was a balmy 15 degrees Celsius. The elephants were eating the last of the snow, and the komodo dragons were getting it on. Our cats are starting to perk up, and I can see a haze of green on the trees as new leaves begin to sprout. I've taken the lining...

I should go to the zoo this year! I'm already excited. We have a great zoo here in D.C. We'll at least when people aren't being shot there anyways.

We went shopping for a new bed today. I feel so grown up. Next we'll have matching bedroom furniture and a real couch. Time to get rid of my posters?

Hi! How goes? Been a little while since your last blog.
johnjelly:
You never have to get rid of your posters. You just have to frame them. Ha.

I own at least 20 hats, and yet I never wear them. This is a sad state of affairs.

I wanted to avoid being spoilt as to who was going to play the new Doctor Who, so I changed my home page. It was set to the BBC News, and they always report on Doctor Who, since it's the BBC's biggest show right now. And yet how did I get spoilt? (Because sure enough, I was.) ROFLRazzi.com! (Warning, contains spoilers. tongue) At...

I've had a song from Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat stuck in my head for a couple of days now. It's especially annoying because I only know the chorus, so that's the part that keeps going through my head. I had a Sesame Street song in my head earlier today, and that was actually a relief. I've now got Winamp going on random ......

I wish we had bus drivers like they had in Finland (I lived there for a while). They'd just hit the breaks 50m before the bus stop and would slide into the desired position biggrin They were awesome. Slightly suicidal, but awesome.

Hey there!

Sorry I haven't been around to leave comments.

I have read all your entries though.

I'm glad you're healthy again. Hope you're feeling good.

Five weeks on and I'm finally beginning to reclaim my body. I've missed it so. We really do have to get to know each other all over again, in some cases.

Every year I experience a pretty significant change from one end to the other. This year it was the baby, and the year before it was getting my job. One year it was a...

He hasn't gotten more than a couple of nods, but that is pretty epic.

Thanks.

Aw, thanks. smile I hope your Christmas was a good one, surrounded by family.

And keep fighting the good fight on the breast-feeding front. Hopefully nobody gave you, or gives you, any grief over it.

Happy (Almost) New Year!

Yay! I have permission to take it easy! biggrin I can now walk around the house (gently) and am no longer trapped lying down! Best news all day. I'm already planning my very short shopping expeditions. I miss shopping. I got my first maternity leave "top up" pay cheque today, so now I know that I can actually afford to buy gifts. It's quite a relief....

Two more days until I find out whether my bed rest is over!

I'm so incredibly bored. I feel useless. I'm reading Twilight.
argene:
How's the book so far?
quirky:
I read Aleda's copy of Twilight. It was OK for non-canon Young Adult Lit.

I started a smoking society in my city.

I must be feeling better ... I'm getting tired of my mother being around to help out.

I guess I failed NaBloPoMo, but I kind of don't care.
