Oran, an Islamic terrorist hiding out in a bunker in the middle of the desert and having a crisis with his faith. Unable to reconcile the horrors of his deeds with the laws of his religion he starts to break down and have terrible hallucinations of being attacked by the zombie remains of his victims. In a blind rage, he attacks and nearly kills his comrade and childhood friend. He then flees into the desert and is confonted with the very same image that Shandala saw...
Kamimura, a wandering Shinto priest in Japan investigates the arson that destroyed his home and why a former companion of his tried to steal a box from him; a box he had promised another friend he'd keep and protect. While meditating by the river, he too is confronted by the terrifying image.
Raimi, a maverick computer programmer/hacker working for a worldwide corporation in California. He is resentful and suspicious after being pulled off of a company project with no explanation. Raimi hacks into the company system to find out why, and the same image appears on his comptuer screen......
What did they see? Why? What does it have to do with each of them? All these questions are answered in the 24 chapter Flash animation saga that is Broken Saints.
This online epic is unlike anything I've ever seen. Powerful, lyrical monolgues and dialogue, breathtaking images, and an eclectic and engaging soundtrack including ambient, drum n bass, industrial and world music.
The storyline is one of the most original ones I've ever seen: a unique combination of drama, horror, thriller, and political/conspiracy etc.
If you're looking for something different and inspiring then I urge you to check this out. I've watched this thing three times.
They have a DVD coming out in the Fall,, but for right now you can watch all the 24 episodes for free. So go to the site, load up a chapter, turn off the lights, and crank your speakers and enjoy.....
