You have to love friends and co workers who like to give people things. One of my co workers decided that he needed to give me 60 pounds of pears today. Since I don't bake there is only one thing that I can think to do with them, make wine! Hey, we all have our talents!

Actually I have about 20 gallons of mead, rose and heather, that I have to get bottled sometime this month. There is an apiary about 90 miles from here with awesome honey!
I have never been so glad to see Friday, this has been the week from hell! I was supposed to drive up to Nashville this weekend, but it looks like I am going to have to back out of those plans. The good thing is that I have 10 gallons of wine that I have been brewing that I can get bottled this weekend! Yum!

Sometimes I love my job, these weeks where I am on call however make me want to run away screaming. It's a pain in the ass to have to be stuck in Baton Rouge all week, especially when there are things going on out of town that I want to go to.
