I don't Wish to nor will I listen too a person (worse yet more than one within hearing range of all the oral diarrhea!) just kindly explain your "rules" for anyone who wishes to be around you, takes a few times but they will catch on or you simply move on! I've personally trimmed my circle of friends/ aquaintances so much it's almost non existent!! So much better all around though! Not to say you don't help if someone needs it but even then it seems like people become even more of lames and expect ones help etc. Trim them off the list too!
