Happy to report everything has been going really well!

I feel like I kinda mentally checked out over the last year, and I guess I just needed to shut down a little and take a bit of a self assessment. Over the last few years of turmoil and family problems, I really didn't pay too much attention to the general direction of my life. Everything...

Okay, so I decided to hand pick a counselor that I best felt could help me with my day to day woes as well as gaining some insight into what from my years growing up in an alcoholic household has keep its hold on my thoughts and actions.

I can say that I'm glad I made that step, and in week 6 of my counseling...

I'm glad you've found someone to talk to about stuff. It's hard to make that step, but it's comforting to know that you'll be able to finally sort some things out.

I'm glad you're feeling better about things and I hope you continue to!

How've you been, anyway?

Wow, where the fuck have I been???

Relationships come, and relationships go... But never again will I allow myself to become so disconnected from who I am and what I love. Namely my self, my friends, and things I enjoy. SG being one of them.

Good news, I've fallen back in love with myself for the first time in years. And fortunately, and I am...

You know what feels good?

Learning to say NO.

I can't believe how liberating and relaxing it is to say "no, I'm tired. I'm going to lay low tonight." when that is exactly how you feel. I can make so many more examples, but it's not necessary. Talk about feeling the stress melt away...

I think my body and mind are taking a collective deep...

This new format is taking some getting used to! Kinda like it though, something new.

Speaking of something new, start the new job tomorrow at long last. I'm very excited, anxious, etc. about it, but it's going to be enjoyable and the pay is great. The stress level is right up my alley too, not too much stress at all considering what I'm used to....

Update time...

The breakup has been going okay, it's lonely, it's depressing, it sucks. But it's creeping into the past... The only part that sucks is that she still calls--wants to be friends. I don't think I can do that. I've never been able to...

The job front: Got one!!! Outside sales position, awesome pay, I work out of home, I'm excited. I won't start...

Yeah, I've never really understood how people can do the friends thing so soon after a break-up. How is a wound supposed to heal if it's constantly being touched?

Glad to hear about the job. Hope it works out for you. smile

What's a guy to do?

In the midst of shutting down my business and the insuing job search--which is actually going pretty well--something entirely unexpected happened yesterday.

I got dumped.

Things had been going, I thought, famously. To the tune that Julie had been talking about long term plans, etc. As well as professing her undying love for me. Which had me excited and comtemplating...

The clock is ticking and my job search is turning up NOTHING...

I'm networking my ass off, and I have only one interview lined up. So as a fall back, I will be licensed to sell real estate after the my classes the first week of May. But, tough market, and I only get paid if I list something...

Oh scorn..what to do... Keep sending...

Let me tell you how much job searching sucks...Especially when you have a certain price tag associated with your lifestyle that you've created that can't be changed without selling a home, car, etc...

I've got some decent leads that aren't dead, but aren't kicking and screaming too much either...
But gotta keep the chin up, and the nose to the grindstone. What other cliches...oh yeah,...

Good luck with the job hunting. I know it sucks hard. Im in the process of doing it now. I dont know what I want to be when I grow up.

And I totally know what you mean about being used to a certain lifestyle and a certain way of spending money. Im quitting two jobs for one and moving to an expensive big city. Gonna take some getting used to.

Good luck!

Wow, this feels good to say after a year of stress and turmoil.

My company is officially closing its doors. Two partners left last week, and myself and my remaining partner have agreed to shut down and cease by the end of the month.

For the first time in my life, I'm on a job search. My other occupations have come from referrals and didn't...

Good for you, honey! As I mentioned earlier, you are a wonderful person and deserve the best out of life. I hope you find a job that you love and which brings you merry bushels of cash!

I have had an insane weekend - I will be updating my journal momentarily.

How are things going with Julie?

Thought I'd get rid of my creepy self portrait so here's a new profile pic.

Soooo, I'm going scuba diving for the first time in a couple years. Definitely looking forward to it.

It's a camping trip and we're leaving Friday, retruning on Sunday. The only thing that sucks is I'm missing a tattoo convention in Tampa--which would have allowed me to make some progress...

Bike week was kinda whack this year, and I don't know exactly what it was...

The first weekend was pretty fuckin cool, rode a lot, and the crowds were okay. Weather was awesome..but then the following weekend was another story.

We had about 7 guys down from NY like every year. But unlike every year, we had some misfortune. One custom harley knocked over at...

I saw the news report about the Stanley Steemer truck that pulled out in front of two bikes, but I didn't hear about the others. 18 is a lot of casualties for something that's supposed to be fun.

What kiind of floors are you putting down? I'm thinking about linoleum (the real thing, not vinyl) for my kitchen & laundry room, but it's expensive.

Oh, and yeah - the guy with the Monster is the same guy with two Speed Triples, a Yamaha SR500 and a couple dozen others...this guy.
