I just realized that I don't think I've ever seen you wear white before seeing the photo above.

Let's wear red & black to our wedding.

Hello hello. Long time no speak! Depending on what happens Tuesday, I might be moving up to your neck of the woods before too long....

I was terribly disheartened to hear about Uncle Forry's condition. He was one of the many guests I had approached the Crypticon board about. And even before I knew he was ill I had a feeling that it might be wise to get him sooner than later. If we learn anything from this it's to pounce on those guys right away and not rest on our laurels.

Well this is it for me here on SG. Not sure if I'll be back. It's kind of not looking that way. I need to spend some time doing some of my own writing instead of living for/reviewing other people's films. At the very least I need to devote some serious time to that pursuit. So on that note I'll catch up with you on Myspace. I'll be sure and keep you up to date on the convention front when things begin to take shape. And though I won't promise you I'll be at FoF next year because I've said it the last three years runnin', I will say that I have a new job now which no longer has me deciding whether I want to pay for food over rent.

I'm honoured to have been invited as a guest at this year's H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival and CthulhuCon in Portland, Oregon, taking place on October 3, 4 and 5. I'll be hosting a panel on Lovecraft in Popular Culture with Mars of Dead House Music, helping out with the awards ceremony on Saturday night, watching all the killer movies they've...

It looks like I will only be in attendance one night (Saturday) because I have to work Friday and again bright and early Monday morning and couldn't abet paying for one night in a hotel and have been thus far stymied in finding lodging. However everything I wanted to see looks like it takes place on Saturday so I'll just zip back home after the concert.

That is SO adorable! I love it. Let them fly!

The other night out of nowhere I started whining to Liam about how much I want you to move to LA. Do it!!

This is a quick video tour of my office, The Rue Morgue House of Horror, where we publish Rue Morgue Magazine. It's a more than 100-year-old funeral home with a chapel and an embalming room, doors that go nowhere and stairs that lead to nothing in the creepy basement, which was full of giant drums of embalming fluid when Rodrigo first looked at purchasing...

I WISH I could be at the HPL fest this year...I made it in 2005 when I had another feature play, but this year the stars are not aligned and the sub-aquatic elder gods have not looked favourably upon me. The year I move to Toronto would be the year I get into the fest again. tongue The music composer and costume designer will be there though...maybe they'll find you.
spankenstein:
Someone told me you were moving to LA? I see you have gotten a couple tattoos since last we talked.

Jesus - we barely got to hang out. When are you back in this neck of the land?

And - of course. It's always a pleasure to host for friends. Even when I can barely recall it.
jeremyscareme:
One moment sticks in my head clear as day though. I was all slurry and said something about you giving WoG a bad review and you said "I didn't write that" and something about the look in your eyes I instantly understood how difficult it must be to run THE magazine of our genre and have friends say such things.

It's weird cause its, like, the only thing I remember clearly.

Haha he sure does.
I wanted to comment on something in one of your other entries that made me think of this....The poster you have with Sid Haig? I see him all the time where I live. Theres a family restaurant thats down the street from my house and I see him about every time I go there. And last week I saw him when I was at Target.
Random.

you changed your name...So long with the Zombie queen...I am saddened by Stan Winston...

You may have noticed the moniker change. Some of you SG Old Skoolers might recall SKINJOB was actually my first username on the site. At some point over the years I changed it to ZOMBIEQUEEN. Now, for the life of me, I can't remember exactly what motivated me to do that. I do love zombies, but nowhere near as much as Blade Runner.

I...

I like the new moniker.

That one never occurred to me.

I'm sure Tim told you he bought it/we watched it, but we definitely didn't agree on the ending.... he says he heard baby noises, I said I didn't, which affects the overall outcome, I think.....

I liked it though, it was definitely good stuff. Between Haute Tension and this, the Frenchies are definitely pulling some good stuff out, I have to say! They're giving the Japanese a run for their money, I think. Hehe. smile
