People fight about stupid shit all the time... spoil yourself on your day off. That should help you unwind.
As for the Atkins... I hear the same thing every time someone goes off of it. Basically it just gives you a head start on weight loss, then you've got to up the nutrition and exercise thing to keep it going... it's a whole metabilism thing.
