I was kinda buoyed to see, late in the afternoon, that while Yahoo was trying to run Irwin's death as some 3rd-or-4th-most important story of the day in their listings, in the "Most Popular" category (i.e. the ones people email to their friends, i.e. the most important stories to "The People"!!!) it ranked first, and second and third out of five.

Because really, what's more important? That Iran is jerking off Kofi Annan about suspending its plutonium use again (what is it, like the 5000000000th time we've heard that one this summer???), or the Croc Hunter dying?
