Last night I went to the Alter Ego '24 show in Anaheim. The sets were kept short to help minimize boredom. Years ago, I heard Beck said something true when describing the seeming indifferent vibe from the crowd at these events, "Everyone is there to see someone else." I can confirm that was the case last night. LA area crowds are tough because we see...

The year started in somber fashion as I went to the Auschwitz exhibit at the Reagan Library. Seeing the things from the concentration camp was angering, saddening, and bewildering all at once. It really made me really realize it wasn't that long ago and it gives me less patience for the people who similar rhetoric now. It is far to easy dress it up as

As 2023 comes to a close, I decided to look back at some of the stuff that stood out during the year. One thing is for sure, and that is I keep busy.
In January, my first thing of the year was going to look at the Rose Parade floats after the parade.
February was memorable for having snow in Southern California, even if it

I was home sick the majority of the weekend, but I did go to the Luna Luna exhibit on Friday afternoon before things got bad. Luna Luna was an art themed amusement park. It closed in 1987. As an added bonus, I ran into the comedian, Bill Burr, while I was walking around!

So, I gave Imaginarium SoCal a visit over the weekend. It was an interesting installation. It had a sort of dragons and faeries sort of theme.
There was a circus part too. It was a nice added bonus.

I went to the movies last night in North Hollywood to see a few films and I ended up behind Anya Taylor-Joy in line for snacks! You just never know how it will go when out in the area!
It was a full day for me yesterday. I worked half of the day in my office as planned, but I cut out at noon and went to the LA Zoo. I hadn't been to the zoo since I about 10. I made sure to see the highlights. I can't recall the last time I saw an elephant or giraffe in person! The zoo was...

Friday night I went to see the singer, Teddy Swims. I wasn't too familiar with his music, but it was a good risk worth taking since the show ended up being above average.
