I know how that can be living w/o a PC. My desktop broke down twice on me, so for the better half of 6 months I've been doing most of my work on my laptop. I've had the parts to put it all back together since the new year, but I just haven't gotten around to it due to being sick for part of it and working my ass off the other part of it...should make some time out this w/d to do that...
I had to deal w/ that same scenario the end of last summer and it's never fun (the dishing out cash for it part), but in the end it's a cool process putting the parts together, then hitting that power button for the first time as you pop in your XP CD...
so i was just flipping through channels, and a Jet Lee movie was on, where in, he was, no lie, turning the fire hose on a bunch of black guys... considering how incredibly PC the media has been lately ( you know like the past decade) i can't believe a shit storm did not hit ground on this.
Jet Li is one of the best action movie stars in the past decade. He surpassed Van Damme & Segal as far as the quality of his work. Gotta hand it to Gibson & Glover for aiding in his start (w/ the Lethal Weapon series, that is)...that broke him out big-time here. Still though, you look back @ the work he did in Hong Kong and you've got yourself a slew of non-PC material (beating up girls, whipping chinese by American GI's, etc.)...
