Well, I just spent most of the afternoon and evening working on my backyard. I bought a grill to sink into the counter of the outdoor kitchen I'm building. In addition to the grill, it will have a fireplace, and wine refrigerator.

I also (with the help of friends and neighbors) put up a privacy screen trellis next to my hot tub. It was tough...

thanks for the info on Tokyo..

I have one more question though as I can't seem to get a straight answer out of anyone of my friends.

I will be there like 13 days and I have heard it is really expensive.. so as to not be left short... do you have any idea how much money I should take?, well, I mean daily.. Plus I don't really plan on doing a lot of shopping or anything, just traveling around w / the JR pass and sight seeing.. maybe some clubing.. food and that kind of stuff.

any info will help.

sorry to be such a pest.. I'm just getting nervous.

Congrats on the house sounds like a really great place.

Some days it just isn't worth it to chew through the leather restraints...

Heh heh...I agree. At least the padded walls are nice and soft.

Thanks for your comment in my journal. smile

I apologize for my abscense. It was hard to find time for internet in Okinawa, and most of the computers I had access to were work computers, which aren't the best ones to check SG with.

I'll sit down and write about the Okinawa trip if I have time (and there's interest) but for now, this is an essay I wrote a while back, one...

DOOOOOOODE! You're from Albuquerque! That's crazy. A friend of mine just got ahold of me a little while ago to let me know that he's living there now. I mean, like a week ago. I thought that was odd. Very cool though, he really likes it, and has convinced me to visit him sometime in the fairly near future.

Well, things are all well and good here in NYC. The job has kept me too busy to get out. But I'm going to see some good friends tomorrow night whom I haven't seen in ages.

Two of my apprentices who have been doing the ritual work I've instructed them to do will be among those friends.

Last night I must have had like 5...

No ritual tonight since I was up all night packing for my trips. Off to NYC in a few hours, then to Okinawa. It will be good to see some old friends at both destinations.

Sadie (my cat) will be quite upset at my abscence. I hope Angela won't neglect her. It's hard for me to to trust people with my cat.

Cat people understand....

Thank you for your advice earlier. I did the breath exercise as you said and it helped. I don't know if I felt perceptibly stronger, but I did notice everything that was shaky in my earlier, stilled and was calmer.
Have a wonderful trip!
xoxo,
Love

I did a very powerful ritual 2 nights ago. I changed some elements of my usual ritual, and changed up the music I normally listen to. Variety is the spice.

I had a hard time sleeping afterward, I was just so amped up by it.

I've still been averaging 1 or 2 Deja Vu experiences a day. I've noticed when my energies and connection with...

I don't know if I quite agree with you. Woody and Bugs might WORK better but loki is a HELL of a lot more powerful. You just don't always get the results you want because they are more individual. You might get the results THEY want.

Woody and Bugs are better for the neophyte not because they are more understandable, though they are, but because they are safer. You are much less likely to go horribly dangerously insane, or get killed, playing with Woody.

Go see 'Supersize Me'

You'll never want to eat at McDonald's again, in a good way.
waldo_jeffers:
Just a quickie to say that I thought your comments on the "Pop psychology is sanitised Occultism" thread were rather interesting.

Also, I don't eat at McDonald's anyway, as I long ago decided that they suck - years ago, I was in a McDonald's and I happened to see a pile of please-take-one leaflets about how McDonald's food is healthy (complete with photographs of crispy lettuce leaves and healthy looking people cycling) and I thought, "Come off it! Burgers and fries are not healthy" and after that I decided to stay away from the deceitful s.o.b's). Also, the food tastes like cardboard with added salt.

Cheers.

Back home in New Mexico. It was great to climb into my hot tub after the brutal air travel (being hung over didn't help). I've got a few days at home before I'm off to NYC, and then Okinawa.

Sadie (my cat) is pretty pissed off that I was gone so long frown

Had a Deja Vu while I was on the phone with Jeff.

I...

Well, I'm leaving Alaska tomorrow, and I had a lot of fun. Tonight, I had a great time with a girl named Bethany I met while on the job. We bounched around from bar to bar, and tore it up with some mad karaoke. Plus, she's a really good kisser, so I may find myself coming up here again smile

Too much Jagermeister last night....

Shots are evil.

Just had a powerful Deja Vu while I was sitting in front of my computer in my hotel room in Alaska reading an email from this girl in El Paso.

I have at least one Deja Vu a day, usually, but this one was pretty strong.

I've got to get better at remembering the Future Flashes too, that's what comes before the Deja Vu.

Anyway,...

The Quest for Sushi

OK well, seeing as Anchorage is close to the ocean, I had the misconception that there would be some good sushi in this freaking town. After a bad experience at a buffet, I was still willing to try again. Seeing in the guide that "Pete's Sushi" is the most popular sushi place in town, despite the name,...
