Signed up for RAGBRAI, last week in July. 454 miles across Iowa, on a bicycle, camping at night. What a ka-raaaayzee idea!

I'm going to 2nd dmac's recommendation for you to "tour" Oregon. I think you may just have some great tour guides awaiting you, Mr. Eyesplice, Sir!smile

Thanks, doll. We're down to less then 24 hrs before we head down. I have to admit, we're totally nuts... we're buying the boat sight-unseen and moving aboard. LOL... It'll totally be an adventure.

~ San Diego was very informative, and I've come home with many new and useful business ideas. Plus I had a nice stogie and glass of my favorite port while I was there; obviously San Diego is more civilized than the northeast...
~ But... When I arrived at the seminar I sat next to a young woman, who you might say, fit the SG "mold"...

I agree with much that has already been said above. Most likely her reaction was due to her own set of issues/hangups, and not in the least bit a negative reflection on you. Could be that she suffers from social anxiety...or has only a cursory understanding of what SG is all about.

Whatever the reason, 'twas her loss! smile

Obviously I'm a leeeetle late in my reply here! In any case, I agree with a lot of the comments above. Also, if you had talked to her about work-related stuff during the seminar, she might not have gotten scared off when you (seemingly randomly) asked her about SG.

And don't worry, you're not a skeevy guy! smile

Dude! I was just in SD not two weeks ago for a meeting! Arrrgh!

Good news is that in April 2012, I'll be traveling to BOSTON for my audiology academy meeting. Might have to come a day or two early to visit, I dunno, some people I've wanted to meet! wink

have a great time in SD.

Ha! Thanks for the dino picture. That is a CLASSIC! I love it! ♥
cybele:
"That paints such a funny image!"

Thanks! We had some laying around, being that it was the holidays and all. Thought that sounded funnier than beating someone over the head with a bag of old Wonder Bread. (And the stuff's a helluva lot heavier, too!)

Hope you had an enjoyable time with the nieces. smile
