Curses!!! Cyber bandits have absconded with the pic! One moment! I shall investigate... mad
dmac:
Damn!!! It's seriously up and vanished off the internet! Well, not to worry, my dear, here's the next best alternative (and actually, I like it even better). Not quite so shiney, but it's still got style!

I think you might have enjoyed the race a lot. Las Palmas to St. Lucia in 13 days 23 hours, finishing 24th overall and being served dinner in the cockpit on tablecloths every night was quite grand.

I have been friends with the owner of Mustang since grade school and actually helped re-commission her 2-1/2 years back in preparation for him sailing her around the world with his family. The ARC was her return to home waters. Mustang has been around five times now. We're talking about what he does next, keeps Mustang or looks for something a bit more fun for him, say a Swan 61 (or something similarly performance minded).

I wish my old man was like Mike Brady . . .
(or maybe Tom Brady's dad, if I got those genes.)

I also wish I'd seen the video before the YouTube link was killed.
Not only do I love the Guess Who, but I apparently share your thing for redheads.

Road Trip! Off to ATL for a sort of Granny in law 80th birthday party and old college buddy visit, then to DC and the Marine Corps Marathon on the 30th.

ARRR!!! (There needs to be a pirate runner/biker/kayaker/pilot icon. Just sayin'...)
cybele:
My, what an active person you are, my friend. You put the rest of us to shame! (Or, at least me, anyway.)

That particular emoticon, if it existed, would most definitely be modeled after you, dude. smile

Safe travels!

ARRR!!! Yaaaawn...

Saturday Update. Got a call from NYC Swim (thankfully before I left for Manhattan) - the weather gods decided that the Ederle Swim will go at 0500 on Sunday. I guess I'll just try to take a nap later...

Ramping up training for the Marine Corps Marathon on Halloween. 16 Miles yesterday in 2:10. My hips are sore, but I'm getting faster. Still, I may have spent too much time on the bike blackeyed ... Do you exercise regularly? Running to the bathroom or jumping through hoops doesn't count...

ARRR!!!

dmac:
I get all my exercise jumping to conclusions. biggrin

And don't YOU be sending me any wedding invitations any time soon! I'm already in a state of grief over face4radio. However, this just means I'll have to turn all my attention to you now.

~ Wow.
~ James Taylor played here at Tanglewood last night (he lives here). It was rather surreal as all 17,000 people on the lawn spontaneously and simultaneously chimed in: "Goodnight you moonlight ladies, rock-a-bye sweet baby James..." as James sang it.
~ Amazing...

My view on dead Osama partys.

I agree that this operation had to be done, and I support the outcome, good job Team Six. But Im going with the mixed Penn Jillette/MLK quote here, the reason that this operation had to be taken saddens me. And the fact that educated, some would say enlightened, people, some of you my friends, rejoice in this outcome, disheartens...
