I'd say "you're required" and/or "you cannot" are the primary functions of all lawmakers, regardless of which side of the aisle they're aligned, and I'd like to say (if I weren't so cynical) the only real difference between Republicans and Democrats are their underlying priorities.
Still, I'm beginning to think politics is an area you & I should probably just avoid, entirely, and instead let's just say:
"Hurray October & Halloween."

I do agree, however, that this soft drink ban does appear a trifle silly and heavy-handed.
Also, some Republicans seem very intent on trying to legislate how we conduct our intimate lives -- particularly if one is gay and/or female.
Again...just sayin'.
PS: For the record, I'm not a big fan of either political party. Basically, I think the entire electoral system is fundamentally corrupt. However, for sheer, unadulterated, extremist lunacy, the Republican Party in its current incarnation beats the Democratic Party hands down.

~ Wow, the startling ignorance and bigotry of some people is breathtaking. And somewhat frightening, as her tone echoes Goebbels speaking about Jews, and we all know how well that turned out... In this day and age I find her attitude, frankly, disheartening.
