Yes, was surprised it was VDay, but I knew it was coming. What rubbed my chops was that it was by sms! But we had this on/off, hot/cold, not overly emotionally supportive relationship. Now it is finally over. I have a sense of relief mixed with a little sadness.

Thankyou for the advice, and believe me I shall certainly take it.. I have no intentions of getting a job as soon as I finish uni, I'm going to do a bit of travelling for a year before I have to start paying back all the debt!
