I've been providing myself endless amusement by adding the word 'Goth' in front of every job posting on Craigslist. You try it!

- Concrete Finishers
- Garden Maintenance Lead (FT or PT)
- Floater Journeyman Meatcutter Wanted!
- Diver for Underwater Boat Cleaning

In other words, I need to acquire a better job, pronto. I had come fairly close to forgetting that I highly dislike...

This has very recently amused me:

melladoree:
I know, some people are really horrible. I told the people who found it that it was probably kids and the guy told me 'oh don't say that' and I just thought, 'what you would rather think it was adults?' I would rather think it was a kid who did not know better than an adult who did and was just mean., Either way it was unacceptable!

The mall-ification and condo-rificness of the world makes me slightly sad. Everything seems watered down and/or oversaturated. Everyone seems like a cheap 5 cent copy of an original concept. Only now are they having things like laser tattoo removal and quickie divorces marketed to them on the fly.

What happened to everyone's unique essenece? I'm wondering how I fit in on the food chain.

Or...

By the end of the year.... a full time job, guitar lessons, and to know for sure if I will be in Seattle for 2009.

I think you should go with the Red Delicious. I have no idea how it smells, but I like the name.
freckle:
#11 is my goal too. i'm starting with purses because i can't screw that up by not managing #3.

No matter where you go, there you are..

Today was the first day that I realized that I feel truly homesick for Los Angeles. Funny how it came to be.

I went in early this morning on my day off for makeup training. One of the national educators from LORAC Cosmetics was in town, and I was a little early. He was so L.A., but...

I love the new haircut! I think this month I am going to break down and do my hair again... we will see.

I understand what you mean about the pace of LA. Before I moved here I lived in the Hamptons and the pace there drove me bonkers. No one was ever in a hurry but in the way that the checker at the grocery store would discuss every single item with you. Sometimes I need to be checked out without discussing my choice of antiperspirant.

jonnyjonnyh:
I cut my hair again also.

It gets especially exciting at the 0:52 mark. wink

What are you doing to celebrate, if anything?

i was going to bbq for the 4th, but now i think i might want to blow up some mannequins. wink

crim:
Working. Which, honestly, was the best way for me to celebrate. Then I walked an hour and a half to get home while everyone on the way was setting off fireworks, so it was a pretty damn good day.

I've been thinking a lot about some old friends and how we've all changed. Some for the better, some for the worse, entirely.

Not worse in the, oh, he or she doesn't agree with me on things now, therefore they now suck, type of way, but in the way that they are doing things that are very detrimental to their survival. Sometimes I wonder how...

3am Post-Cheetah's tuna melts with Cricket at Fred 62....

Those were the days, man.

I miss all of it.

Hey come over this week. Tomorrow or thursday?

Oh and Paru's! Mmmmmm.

I have decided Seattle is stupid. I'm over it.
papawheelie:
i actually miss a lot of things about LA... but when I actually get there I can only go about 4 days before I'm ready to leave

Another week.

The Pretty Pasties Pastiche is this weekend, so get your burlesque on if you're in the Seattle area. biggrin

In other news...I enjoy my job, partly because it's easy and fun. Beauty and artifice and I clock in and out and leave the drama at work. It's one of the most stress-free jobs that I've ever had and I get a nice discount on...

Wait...Are you involved in the Pretty Pasties Pastiche thing? I saw a Sinner Saint Burlesque show at Noc Noc a few weeks ago...Like right after I got back in town. And I remember them mentioning this Pretty Pasties Pastiche thing.
reversehalo:
Well, I'm out of town until July 5th. Lemme know when the next one is and I'm there...Me and my alter-ego, SG Pimento Loaf. blush

I was bummed to hear about C.C. too. What legs! And one of my favorite fictitious characters was named after her.

I've been just trying to get to the gym, which is hard enough but I've actually been sticking with it lately, which makes me happy. I think the ymca is getting fancy new exercise equipment, which is kind of irritating, because I don't really need fancy high-tech equipment. I just need a treadmill that tells me my basic information and won't break. *shrugs*

I don't drink soda, beer, or carbonated water. I keep it classy and drink champagne on the rare occasion but it has to be pretty flat. I can't really drink anything carbonated, not even alkaseltzer, it's a textural thing.

Also, your new job sounds pretty sweet. I'm a little jealous of the discount on make-me-pretty products for sure.
jonnyjonnyh:
Happy summer.
