Yeah I'm fine thank you. If I was still living in East London I might have got caught up in it but I moved to the other side of the city 2 years ago and things are largely unaffected here even though I'm only a couple of miles away.

just support her as you would in any other circumstance. Let her know that there are ALOT of area's they differ from other religions and aren't that open minded. So, I don't know your friend, but as I said they romanticise alot of it.

I don't know how to help your friend.
I guess share with her that you respect her decision to choose a certain philisophy, and that as her friend you do not support her choice. (since I gather this is your opnion)
Support this stance with what you see the church to be, what it appears to be.
You could also share with her the stories of those who have left the mormon churh. Share with her the stories of how one of my best girlfriends was asked to leave the mormon church because she was friends with a gay male. Share with her how the church controls it's members, how in utah, there are bulidings that the public isn't allowed into. (and the members will not speak of what goes on there) You can share with her that the church keeps records of it's member's tithing, spending habits and the like. It also
dictates that the members will keep certain diets, dress in certain fashions, and maintain specific lifestyles. You can share with her how she will lose her freedom by her choices. And that she will Know if she made the correct choice.

Remember that love bombs are very healing. For those who don't have much love in their life, the allure of an organizaion that cares about you is quite pleasent, if not elating. I was once sucked in by love bombs. I believe that it was part of my path...
This may be part of hers.

In the end, love her because she is your friend. And let her go to make her own choice...
